Since 1997, this organization has missed the playoffs 8 of the last 14 seasons.
Wev'e lost games in the most excruciating fashion since then.
The constant? The GM.
Explain to me why I should be excited for next season with the same puppet master in place.
This again? Really?
When exactly are some of the fans going to realise that the GM is never going to change in Dallas while Jerry owns the team?
Is it really that hard to get through your thick skulls that Jerry owns the team and is going to be the GM rather you, or I, or anyone else likes it?
This is the most pointless, and useless, thing to complain about.
You know what? You shouldn't be excited for next year. As a matter of fact you shouldn't even bother to be a Cowboys fan.
What you should do, since this GM thing really seems to bug you (and this goes for all the others out there who are constantly crying about this aspect of the team that nothing can be, or will be, done about), is pick a new team to root for.
Grab a spot on the 49ers bandwagon. I hear they're hiring a new GM. Slide up next to Ted Tompson on the Packers bandwagon. I hear the fans own that team, or something. Maybe you could find yourself a place on the Patriots ever growing bandwagon. I hear the GM there is pretty outstanding and the fans never complain about things with that team.
Save yourself the headaches, the heartburn, and the sleepless nights worrying about the GM situation in Dallas.
