An important thing about today, shows how far we can go with our offensive tackles?

Anyone else anxious to see how Torrin and Rob look in this matchup? I know Strahan was giving Rob some big problems last time and both Flozell and Torrin had some issues too. Carolina has some scary defensive ends but the Giants are also about as good as it gets. Not to put too much on Rob and Torrin, but I think we're all a little worried about Bledsoe back there. He hasn't look as sharp in recent games, and we know his history when the protection breaks down. Al, Larry and Marco have had their problems too but I think if our young tackles can hold the fort this game, we have an offensive line good enough to get us somewhere in the Playoffs.

Good point.....This will be a good test for the entire OL. We can only hope they hold their own and set the benchmark at a high standard.

I think today is the acid test of our OT's. People keep making positive noises about improvement by both but the Giant DE's are both playing very well. Strahan you expect but Umenyiora(?) has been a bit of a surprise.

If there has been improvement by our tackles, I've not really seen it. I am assuming these "improvements" are referring to pass blocking but Bledsoe has been hurried quite a bit latlely. We have failed to make teams pay for the constant blitzes and our overall running game hasn't frightened anyone either. I've seen both Tucker and Petitti beat to the inside and those are deadly to just about any quarterback.

Our guys can convince me they're ready with good performances today. Until they do, they represent the weakness that can keep us from even reaching the playoffs much less advancing.
