Reid set to return from personal leave Friday

PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid will return Friday from a leave of absence to be with his family while his two oldest sons face legal troubles.

Reid is scheduled to return to his duties full time Friday, in time for the NFL owners' meetings in Arizona next week. The team scheduled a news conference Friday morning.

Reid took a leave of absence last month after his two oldest sons became embroiled in legal troubles stemming from separate traffic incidents on Jan. 30.

Britt Reid, 21, faces a felony charge of carrying a firearm without a license and misdemeanor drug charges stemming from a road rage incident in which he allegedly pointed a gun at another motorist.

Garrett Reid, 23, faces charges he injured a woman in a traffic accident while under the influence of heroin.

Despite being away from the team, Reid has maintained contact with the Eagles during the start of free agency and has been available to participate in personnel decisions.

I hope he got his sons on the right track...that is what is important.

Sometimes I think that the hours that an NFL coach puts in is detrimental to the family values...even though he is providing them income for the rest of their lives.

Gook luck, Andy and family!

;)

I dont know, im Johnson does a heck of a job with that defense, and just because he has this Sling the ball all over the field untill my QB drops dead, doesnt means he's a good coach.

Actually... he hasnt won anything of significance AND he has been criticized for his clock management more than once.

So Barry Switzer is better than Reid?

Lets see....

Barry Switzer - 3 years as HC = one SB
Andy Reid - 8 years as HC = ZERO

I vote Switzer.... he almost had 2 SB's... if not for 1st qtr onslaught by 9'ers

Tell me you wouldn't prefer Reid to Phillips.

Wow, now I really understand where you are coming from.

I won't argue with you then. Seems pointless.
