Well stated. It's bewildering that some Cowboys fans have a hard time acknowledging that Dallas made the right pick of Ezekiel over Jalen. It was a no-brainer. Ezekiel is clearly having a huge impact on the entire game on both offense and defense (by controlling the ball and time of possession) than Jalen could ever dream of.

Some point to Ramsey's lack of tackles as the QB avoiding him but I clearly saw a few missed tackles on the highlights alone. On the other hand Anthony Brown has been a sure tackler and even forced a fumble, which means that Brown is having a bigger impact on the game than Ramsey. I'm not saying Ramsey is a bust and neither did you, but some of these fans sure want to take it that way.

Honestly, nobody is avoiding him. He misses tackles. He missed three in the highlights I provided above. 3 that Brown would have made no problem. Our days of watching corners who can't tackle are done.

Brown our 5th rounder is outplaying Ransey.

Prescott our 4th rounder is out playing Wentz.

Zeke, our first rounder is outplaying the entire 2016 draft.

We're looking at box scores to evaluate CB's now, really?

It's hilarious how you clicked new thread thinking you were going to expose Ramsey, when he ended up literally winning the game with a game-sealing pass deflection.

The only thing you exposed was yourself as someone who doesn't actually watch football.

Alshon (who's a top 10-15 WR) got the best of Ramsey in the first half for most of his 93 yards. But Ramsey had him on lock in the 2nd half.

@AdamJT13 posted Ramsey's season stats in another thread showing he's barely allowing anything this year.

Here's what Jags fans had to say about Ramsey after the game, but hey what do they know? https://jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/topic/20162-jalen-ramsey/

This is quite stupid. Tackles don't mean crap for a CB. It actually means he is giving up catches in front of him. I'm glad we took Zeke but from everything I've seen and read, Ramsey is the real deal and would have been a fine pick also. With CBs, I want to know how often is he targeted, how many catches and yards he gives up, and how many passes he defends. I just don't see the need to justify the Zeke pick by trying to show Ramsey isn't very good. He's damn good and so is Zeke.

Think of it like this. If Cowboys take Ramsey, they don't get Zeke, and probably pass on Brown. That's means Dak would have a much tougher time without Zeke.

I'm sure Ramsey will be a fine defender, but his value to our team would pale in comparison to the value Zeke is currently providing. To say otherwise is just proof of your bias toward Ramsey. Now you might end up having a point if we end up losing Mo, or our CB play digresses, but as of now its not really close.

Come on out and admit it all of you who wanted this guy. Come on out already.
I admit that Zeke is a GREAT pick.

BUT... I also believe that if Dallas can help Anthony Brown develop this quickly, do work with Mo & WIlcox...that Ramsey could have done well in Dallas too.

but yeah, I was wrong, glad they took Zeke :)

I supported taking Zeke @ #4. But can we stop with the Ramsey comparisons? As much as we love Zeke, we all are being a bit premature in our evaluation. Ramsey may blow up in year two and be another Deion. We just don't know that yet.
Furthermore, Ramsey plays for the Jaguars, a perennial underachieving team. We simply can't know what he would have done had the Cowboys drafted him instead of Zeke.

Nevertheless, Zeke was the greater need for this team because (as I said before the draft) he helps both our offense and our defense.

This much has been proven by our 5-1 record.

This place blows my mind at times.
We've got not one but two rookies setting NFL records and yet we still get threads about a qb and a db that we passed on.

I have no bias toward Ramsey. I judge a CB by passes defensed and the opponents willingness to go after him, not tackles. His lack of tackles likely means the other teams aren't throwing over there much. Show me where he is missing a bunch of tackles and that would be a telling stat. I'm glad we picked Zeke. He was my first choice on draft day. I just don't see the need to nitpick Ramsey at this point. I think he is a very good player and would have been a fine pick as well.

I went on record for saying how bad his hands were. He still has 0 INTS. I also said, I thought Vernon Hargreaves was a better pick then him.

For a #5 pick, you have to be a dynamic CB. Deion and Peterson were also return specialist in college. Ramsey, not so much...

Ramsey doesn't necessarily suck but I doubt we'd be 5-1 if we took him over EE. Ramsey may be a fine player but he doesn't account for the points that EE has produced.. directly or indirectly..

Assuming we still got DP in the 4th, our backfield would of consisted of Morris, McFadden, Dunbar, and Jackson (I'm assuming we would of taken him In the 6th still.)

Now that I write that out, I'd say we'd be lucky to go 3-3 at this point if we took Ramsey at #4.

As someone who was on the ledge about Ramsey, didn't know position he would ultimately land at in the NFL, he has done well on a team that trips over it's own shoelace year after year.
We are fortunate that the Boys ended up re-signing Claiborne and he started to show his talents.

Glad they went with Zeke(hindsight for me) and he is definitely showing why the staff wanted him, from Garrett to our D coordinator.

I was a huge Zeke proponent but I will say that Ramsey made a huge, game saving pass defense and had fantastic coverage to end the game.
I don't really think it matters, I like to keep and eye on other players we had a chance to pick, esp those that we debated here about, not to rub it in but just to see what happens. I think Ramsey could be a really good player going forward, however we have a very similar player already in Byron Jones and Ramsey may need to be the second coming of Deion in order to look like a better pick FOR US than Zeke.
I was pretty critical of Ramsey's lack of INTs in college and he has yet to record one in the NFL so we'll see.
I will admit I wanted Jack in the second over Jaylon. Jack hasn't done much either but at least his is playing I suppose. Have to evaluate that again a year from now IF Jaylon makes it back at all.
I will admit, I didn't not believe Dak would be a very good pro. But I will also say, I've never been so happy about being wrong on that one.

Ramsey is a beast this season...he's actually exceeded my expectations playing CB already!
