Willfully ignorant, eh? You should change your handle. I'll help you see reality.

That has him tied for third in splash plays.

What's even more impressive is that Mo had 13 and he hasn't played in what 6 weeks?

It's actually outstanding. Especially when you don't have any kind of edge rushing presence for teams to account for.

yea, it's really hard for one to exist without the other. I don't think TCrawford will ever live up to his contract, but with some real edge rushers, it's hard for him to thrive. not a coincidence that as Collins gets better ever week, Mayowa and Irving are showing up more and more as well.

Once he has a full training camp under his belt, and he's a year removed from his foot surgery, his explosiveness should be off the charts. Collins is a very promising player who will be a real factor going ahead. If they can improve the edge rushing talent on the line, look out.

Collins has so much upside it's crazy how he was only taken in the 3rd he could of gone in the 1st easily.

And just think how many people didn't like the pick at the time lol. Just goes to show get a guy in a scheme with a good coach and you can really make something out of a player. Not that he's not really talented, but he definitely seems like a great fit for our D Line rotation and has a bright future.

I just don't see it. He is getting paid the big bucks and doesn't seem to get as much pressure as he should be.

Well you likely expect him to play like Gerald McCoy when he is in reality getting paid like Robert Ayers and Jared Odrick.

He's already plenty quick. What he needs is to do a ton of squats and cleans to work the lower body.

Collins was the first 3 technique DT drafted under Marinelli. He was one of three defensive players specifically targeted by the Cowboys during day 2 of the draft. This was a player they believed could be really good in their system and so far they are absolutely right.

You know, just last week PFF had him rated as second to worst DT in the NFL.

I don't know what to believe.

I cannot for the life of me understand how those guys rate players seconds after a game is played without the benefit of the all-22.

I could be wrong but I recall after the draft people were pretty high on MCo9llins. Not all of course.
I was and many of us talked about it. I was high on Wentz and had no expectations we could land him.
I sort of awoke to Dak in training camp.
But we're talking about MCollins he has been everything I expected.

Crawford is one of the top playmakers on the defense. He has gotten better the more he has played SDE. Moving forward they will be able to move him around.

We desperately need to draft more DL.

I don't know man. I think he can be in some trouble this offseason. He was paid to be a playmaking DT, the linchpin of Marinelli's defense, not a solid SDE.

He's not an edge rusher and he never will be. He's built as a DT. The only reason he is even there is because we don't even have edge rushers on be team or ones that can play.

Crawford is terrible he needs to stay on the bench.
He has been injured and still plays, we had someone like him back in the nineties Greg Ellis was a great player but we kept changing positions on him each year because of injuries or poor draft decisions. Once he stayed in one position he turned pro bowler. I see similar traits and perseverance in Crawford.

Irving. Gregory. Lawrence. Mayowa.
Collins. Crawford. Thornton. McClain.

Honestly, our defensive line potentially is pretty solid. Mostly all young guys who should get even better.

Out of that group, there is only 1 FA for 2017 - McClain.
