Not that we forget, but this guy played what 3 years of div I-AA football? I don't think he started his freshmen year....

I mean we all know he didn't start when he got to dallas, but even sitting for the time period in which he did... he couldn't have learned all that much.

He basically started learning on the fly, and he is still learning the game.

Peyton Manning is still learning the game. Tenure doesn't really matter as much as performance. Rookies have great games and many year veterans have bad games. It isn't due to not knowing or learning.

Romo started one game as a freshman.

Peyton Manning is one of those once in a generation players. He's so good OMG.

i think bad years as a veteran are due more to health and surrounding talent and opposition rather not being as experienced. Knowledge of the game helps you at every position. Doesn't necessarily translate to a better year because there are other variables.

Thanks adam!

When a QB stops learning, he's retired.....even then, he still actually learns things come to think of it.

But soon to be 30 with no playoff wins. Give us a chance Jerry and draft a QB in the first round.

Yeah, look how good 1st rounders like Brady Quinn are. 6th rounders like Tom Brady and UDFAs like Kurt Warner are jealous.

Romo is more than we could ever ask for. His age doesn't really matter. You can be 40 and still play productively in this league at qb. He might start losing some of his legs, but his knowledge will make up for that.

There are exceptions of course.

When Brady plays for someone other than Mangini... he will shine.

We had plenty of upgrades. Just getting rid of the trash was an upgrade.

Outside of Johnny Unitas I'd agree. Peyton is as close to a field general as it gets in today's NFL. He evens throws an ugly ball at times, too. Peyton is one of today's QBs who are better than Romo. That list isn't long. JMO.

not to this guy

Agreed.

Should have let JG go and brought in a real coordinator that is fiesty (like Gruden) and challenged his QB.

And of course kept TO, cut Hamlin, keep Roy and the Pacman.

Championship!

My goodness. We could have a thread about Marcus Spears and this guy would still be talking about the sorryness of Romo and his butthurtness about not having TO again.

*resists urge to hit ignore until he starts talking regular football again*
