Hey JJ, future Cowboy for ya!

Anquan Boldin even less valuable than previously thought

By MJD

Not content to just have a screaming match with the offensive coordinator on the sidelines (which landed him on our list of five least valuable people of Championship Sunday), Anquan Boldin carried his hissy-fit to the Arizona Cardinals postgame celebration, too.
While most of the other Cardinals were still on the field being showered in confetti and picking up their NFC Championship trophy, Boldin had already bolted out of the locker room. The behavior prompted CBS's Mike Freeman to call him a naughty word.

He tried to ruin the Super Bowl celebration with his childishness.
In the game, Boldin got into a heated argument with offensive coordinator Todd Haley. After the game, instead of celebrating with his team, Boldin abruptly left the field, then abruptly left the locker room.
It was awful behavior.
[...] I have to say in nearly 20 years of doing this, I've never seen a player more concerned about his arguing with a coach over making a Super Bowl.
I just wonder if Boldin isn't costing himself some money here, too. He doesn't want to be a Cardinal anymore. I think he's made that pretty clear. But who's going to want to give a guy a huge contract when he's fighting with a coach when he should probably be happy about going to a Super Bowl?
Presumably, he's worried about his touches. Meanwhile, the team is going to the Super Bowl. Obviously, Boldin's placing a lot more importance on the former than the latter. Teams are on a character kick these days. It doesn't pay to be a selfish malcontent.
It's disappointing to see from Boldin. He showed such unbelievable selflessness and courage by coming back from a catastrophic injury earlier in the season. Maybe there's more to the story than I know, but looking at at it from the outside, I wouldn't have expected this from Boldin.

"Turd" comes to mind.

I agree with CBS guy, I've never heard of someone pouting during a championship celebration.

I actually liked the guy before hearing all this and thought we should've traded for him somehow instead of RWII but after seeing this go down...no way. I want people like this as far from the dallas cowboys as possible and that includes T.O. get them the heck out1!

I couldn't believe it when I saw him screaming at the OC yesterday. What a whiny baby. I didn't think it could get much worse than T.O. but this guy takes the cake.

Maybe the Giants will want him ;)

What's that? A talented disgruntled player may be able to be acquired on the cheap because he could care less about his team?

Jerry is speccing out where is locker will go as we speak...

I guarantee you would not see TO doing this IF ROY or Witten were having a huge game and they were headed to the SB. I would bet my eldest son and left nut that TO would be all high fives and jumpin chest bumps.

But if it were TO, it wouldn't be buried in some no-namers blog.

Winning does seem to cure all even for TO most of the time. I think you'd have to be totally mental to freak out like boldin did yesterday which is even a bigger red flag.

It's funny guys, but I kind of knew this was coming in the game yesterday. The more Fitz caught passes, and Edge caught passes, and Pope caught passes, and Breston caught passes and URBAN(SP?) caught passes the more agitated that Boldin became. Finally he blew up on the sideline. Old story, seen it many times before with Irvin, Steve Smith, Chad Johnson, T.O, JERRY RICE, hey...........WR'S are prima donnas: always have been always will be. However, the difference is there is a time and place for everything. Pros like Irvin and Rice always knew that. T.O., Smith, Johnson and now Boldin...they never got that memo IMO. BTW: I can see why Boldin got frustrated: their were 4-6 receivers running open almost every throwing down. Must suck to just be a talented decoy. Hope Red was taking notes; that is if he wasn't too busy lining up another interview.....

Man...even Owens doesn't ***** & moan after a win! I never thought AB was that much of a malcontent. Maybe it's a good thing we didn't get him...

Imagine having him in Dallas.
Less talented than T.O. and lots more whiney. yeah, that would be a great trade-off.

At this point I think Boldin is more talented, but he is hurt alot more.

The whiney part I dont know about

I dont want either of them at this point. We can win with the other guys we have.

Just saw this as yahoo's featured article. There was a thread about this yesterday..

Nobody wants to admit it but T.O. isn't that bad.

If I were Whisenhunt, I'd suspend him for the Super Bowl.

Might as well put him on the market after that because his career in AZ would be done.

Tennessee, Baltimore, Chicago, Philadelphia ( especially them ), Miami, NY Giants, just for starters, would give up premium picks for him.

Has anyone ever taken T.O. out of the game with that game on the line and a Superbowl birth riding on the outcome of that very drive? Boldin was pulled for the majority of the drive (I think it was nine of thirteen plays) and he was incensed about it.

Pretty dumb of Boldin, but given the situation it must have been hard to keep his emotions in check. Not saying that T.O. would blow up, but he is a pretty emotional guy.
