Anthony Brown appreciation thread

"Did somebody say Anthony Brown?"

I've consistently appreciated Brown as our cb2. You aren't going to get a roster loaded with super stars at every position. AB does a solid job while getting picked on often.

That raider game killed him for a lot of fans. Most of those PIs were weak ** too.

Exactly that’s the thing, in a capped sport. Can’t have a stud at every position and not a few spots ur uneasy about.

1 We made zay jones look like a hall of famer today.
2 we can’t get coverage sacks anymore. We were getting 4 sacks a game and leading the nfl. Now we got 1 sack in 2 games.
3 Our defense and season seems to be unraveling since his injury.

Put some respect on his name (esp if you were wrong about him).
Sometimes you don't appreciate what you until it's taken away

Anthony Brown isn’t great. But he is a solid, starting level CB.

His loss is major. Even worse is the fact that the cowboys spent a 2nd and 3rd round pick
On CB’s last year and neither seem to be starters in the league at this point.
I hate to always agree with the same person, but this guy is the brother from another mother. I mean, nailed my thoughts.

I wasn't uneasy about AB. He held up most the time. He's a very good role player. Uneasy would he the perfect definition for how I felt about KJ prior to today. Now it's beyond uneasy.

Brown doesn’t look as bad now that we’ve seen Joseph.

would anthony brown have been beat on atleast one play and give up a 30-40 yarder? yes

would he have been solid after that? Yes as well

Brown is about as solid of a number 2 corner as you'll find and i miss that guy

Everyone hated on Brown after the Raiders game last year.
3 PI in that game. Only 1 PI for the year, before that game.
2 were BS calls.
Plus, DeSean Jackson could get off the couch today and
run go routes all day long against anyone.

Brown is nothing special. Joseph is not an NFL player and likely would have been cut in 31 training camps last summer.

Nothing special turns out to be pretty special when you've got squat behind them.

Brown being gone is a great example of "be careful what you wish for".

Which is odd because those were the only PI calls he had last season.

He's clearly better than the guys now replacing him.

I remember not too long ago people were saying Brown should get cut because he was getting torched for a long TD at least once a game. And by the way, Zay Jones torched Anthony Brown last year and drew the game winning interference call against Brown.

I am not knocking Brown. He is a good steady CB with enough experience to play the position pretty well. Joseph is inexperienced and it shows. Today he bit badly on a double move and got burned for a TD. But Joseph was not why they lost.
He was 1 of many players who did not play well today. And btw, does anyone have any confidence that Wright will play better if he plays full time?
