Anyone find it hard to believe that by now the Cowboys' top pick jersey isn't being advertised and sold online yet? I know there'snothing wrong with the way the team feels about him, but I would like to see how it's gonna look.

Maybe he hasn't really settled on a number yet - or they don't think such a low first round pick would be that marketable yet, so not worth the production costs to date? Cant remember when Carpenter's went up.

The draft was only 6 weeks ago. Something should be up before training camp starts next month.

I thought in the past, numbers went on sale online immediately following the draft. I could be wrong though.

Marketing 101. Don't make the produce before you develop a demand. You want to wait until the public has some idea who the kid is before you make up a bunch of jerseys.

Or possibly the lesser known, Mohawkism. It's an epidemic.

I would be skeptical that he keeps wearing #93, he didn't have a lot of choices. Once they start whittling down the roster he could make a change.

I work at one of the Dallas Cowboys Pro Shops, and one of the managers asked if we were going to get them in and all they said to us was "no. not yet."

Yeah I asked too this week and they said that LB'ers aren't that high of a demand jersey, I wonder how Ware's jersey is doing. :shoot5:

I went to the pro shop in San Antonio last season looking to buy a Romo authentic jersey. This was a month into him becoming the starting QB and they were not available. I asked the manager at that store and he basically said the same thing was told to him when asked when/if they would go on sale. If I remember correctly, they weren't on the Cowboys web site until just before the playoffs. That long of a wait for the starting QB jersey.

But, the replicas were available during this entire time, just not the authentics.

Draft pick jerseys, particularly replica's are on sale soon after the draft. Spencer has neither replica or authentic, so I believe they may release someone and give him a number in the 50's. But he and Ware being #93 and #94 would be awesome!
