Any chance we can stop with the week-by-week declarations?

I love me this forum, and I certainly don't want to see it go the way of typical internal "tough guy" (or lady) bickering, or TMZ like sensationalism...to that end any chance we can stop with the weekly grand declarations or "I was right you were wrong" threads.

If you're right all the time - awesome - you should probably get off an internet board and start getting creative to get a job in Valley Ranch. Otherwise I told you so isn't useful.

One week or two Romo is off and he should be put to pasture, Murray gets criticism then next week has a great game and then its like he's Bo Jackson 2.0...if we lose one week its fire the staff, put Brian Waters at QB and put Cole Beasley on the nose.

Anyway - just a thought. Really enjoy this forum and its contributors, as long as we don't run them off!

This is why I don't post here as much anymore. Too much stupid crap when the team loses. I typically don't even come here at all if they suffers a loss. There's enough negativity in the world without subjecting myself to this forum after a loss. lol

haha, yeah...and to be fair I was speaking in both directions. We either have a JV roster or one full of certain Hall of Famers about to reel off like 10 superbowls.

Rather than focusing on the end-result of the year with the team I love when people speak about football in a way that makes me smarter about the game.

I do enjoy your posts man - healthy debate isn't a bad thing - but if you're on page 2 and you can't tell what the post was about because two people are arguing semantics to show who is smarter than whom (or who, heck I don't know!)....anyway.

I miss the quality posts from scout and coaches and what not. Seems like they get tired-head from all the bashing

This is why I get annoyed by "Eli sucks" and "stop the pessimism" threads. One game isn't a season. I'm not gonna get excited until we wrap up the NFC East. We've been in this situation before and it usually ends with us getting thumped by a division rival Week 17. With that logic, the Browns should be ecstatic and the Niners should be thinking about rebuilding. I feel good about our team but let's not celebrate too soon.

Check out the opponents web forums and you will read the equivalent or much worse than you do at the Zone. Mods here deserve credit for all the hard work they do to keep this a family friendly and peaceful place to read and discuss our Cowboys.

After every loss, 2/3 of the board denizens show up to talk about how bad the team is, usually with some sort of "I told you so" slant.
After every win, 2/3 of the board denizens show up to talk about how great the team is, usually with some sort of "I told you so" slant.
I've gotten used to it, though I still do wonder about that 1/3 of posters who do both.

Hey, just thought I'd log on to the forum to complain about the forum.

Went over most peoples head I supposed.

Great forum, good banter, idiots are on every board as are sideline monday coaches.

After a win - "We're going to the Super Bowl baby! We just beat the mighty *insert team name here*!

After a lose - "Our QB sucks, our HC sucks, our Owner sucks, and most of all, this team sucks. We just got beat by the overrated *insert team name here*, they're not a very good team even though they're 6-0."

Nah, I like freedom of choice. If you don't like a thread, don't click it.

Hey who needs a message board right? Let's just shut it down, fold up the tent, and stop using this medium for debate. Since it makes people sensitive.. Great idea.

Well you do have the option to ignore posters that may overtake a thread arguing semantics. And you have the option not to open threads that may contain material about our JV team that is heading to the superbowl with 45 hall of famers. Just saying....
