Just curious when/if this would be announced given the Holiday. I thought fines were usually announced on Friday.

I don't expect suspension, but I would expect both of them would be fined heavily. Or maybe Roger will just sweep this under the rug.

Since neither are Cowboys they'll get a stern lecture and a warning to never let it happen again or a vicious slap on the wrist is in order...

I love how Jacobs answered the question about whether or not he should be suspended or fined by saying, "Well, I hit him with an open hand, and that isn't even really against the rules." No, Brandon, you hit him with an open hand because you're a *****. Slaps are for ******.

That is pathetic.Goodell might as well sent Jacobs a Christmas card with a bonus enclosed in it.

Giants running back Brandon Jacobs was fined $7,500 and Commanders' defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth $10,000 for their altercation in the fourth quarter of the Giants' 45-12 win over Washington on Monday night.

Jacobs' fine was for unnecessary roughness, Haynesworth's for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The altercation came after a play on which Giants QB Eli Manning was sacked. After the whistle had blown, Jacobs tangled with DeAngelo Hall and appeared to throw a punch before teammates stepped in. Haynesworth entered the fray, and Jacobs appeared to throw another punch. Haynesworth responded by throwing a punch of his own, one that landed hard.

i think thats total bs, they should be fined according to that specific incident. im not saying what haynesworth did was right but he shouldn't of been fined more than jacobs in any degree.

Only this season considered...maybe someone should have reminded Goddell that aspect when all dirty laundry was being aired on Adam Jones. Last season, Jacobs took a swing at a Cowboy, and Haynesworth ONLY stomped an eye almost shut on Gurode. No precedence of anger issues at all here....

I would have paid good money to watch Haynesworth stomp Jacobs' face like he did to Gurode. Only I wouldn't feel sorry for Jacobs in this case.

Jacobs is invincible. He is a NY Giant. Don't you realize that they are seeking a playoff berth, and are in the largest media market in the USA? Goodell will never discipline him for this flare up. Goodell surely would scoff at talk of suspending Jacobs with the Giants at 8-6.

Now, on the other hand, a player like Flozell gets a $75,000 fine for ***** slapping Justin Tuck, with threat of suspension. But then again, Dallas is not the largest media market in the country.
