Hey all,
This non-stop snow we've had here in the mid-Atlantic has increased my itch for the local golf season to begin. Due to the snow, my range has been closed, so I find myself going to golf shops acting as if I'm going to buy something just to use their indoor room to hit 50-100 balls a week, in the warm room with much nicer clubs than I can afford, no less! WELL, all this has pseudo window shopping has taken its toll on my willpower and I've decided it's time to upgrade. I'm playing a few year old set of Adam's GT2's right now and I'm just ready for some real game improvement, seeing as how I play 2-3 times a week (weather permitting) and still need all the "game improvement" I can get! I've narrowed it down to the Nike Slingshot 4d's and the Taylor Made R7's. If anyone has or has experience with either of these sets, I'd love to hear what you have to say. Thanks in advance!

I play alot of golf. If you're looking for a real good set of game improvement irons checkout the TaylorMade R7 CGB Max irons. These are the most forgiving irons I've hit and they hit the ball farther than any irons I've tried. Avoid TaylorMades TP R7 and R9 models they're gorgeous irons but they're for highly skilled golfers. If you want a good site for getting opinions on clubs go to www.bombsquadgolf.com and checkout their equipment forum.

I played Titlest blades for years really loved them but went to the Nike Victory Red Forged Cavity Irons last year and really enjoy playing them.

I play the Taylormade R7 TPs. I traded a set of Mizuno MP-60s for them a while back. They are pretty forgiving for being a "players club." I used to play golf 4-5x a week but lost the itch. Am now thinking about really trying to get my game back to where it was.

I don't know anyone that has tried the Nike's but I do have a couple friends that play the regular TM R7s, they like them a lot.

Good lord, don't send anyone to BSG. Those are guys are so full of it, its unbelieveable. They will try and convince you to spends 1,000's of dollars on their "exclusive product" that is really the same as anyone else's, just with a fancy paint job. Also, their forum is so closedminded that if you discent from the party line, its an insta-ban.

I've made my best equipment decisions on BSG from reading reviews from everyday players on clubs they've purchased. I don't follow any of the posts on these "exclusive" products" anyone is offering I just look at the reviews from everyday players who bought clubs from the major company's. You can get a pretty good idea if a hot driver or a set of irons could fit your game after reading countless reviews. It's hard to find places where you can demo all these clubs so reviews from players of different skill levels who've tried these clubs can give you a good idea on a purchase. The guys on BSG will tell it like it is for the most part. The key is to read a "number" of reviews and not be swayed by one person who's in love with a particular driver, hybrid or set of irons and is just trying to sell you. You have to go with the consensus.
