Any interest in Jarvis Moss from Denver?

If the news was true about the Bronco's seeking to unload DE/OLB Moss
during yesterday's draft for a 7th round pick, I wondered why the Cowboys diidn't act on this since they were interested in adding depth at that position. I checked on his cap numbers and saw that the number for 2009 is just 660K. I know he was a bust as a DE, but he seems fit as an OLB. Does anyone have additional info>

The guy they drafted in the first round 2 years ago they're not trying to move for just a 7th? I think that right there tells you why no one jumped all over it. A guy going for a 7th who was picked in the first round just two years ago tells you the guy sucks.

Denver is moving to a 3-4 and they still didn't want him.

I think he had some off field issues. I think we pass.

I thought the reason no one acted was because teams would rather pick him up as a free agent. I find it hard to believe that he's a bust when he has been injured for nost of his 2 year career. He was somewhat productive when he did play. Just a thought.

Absolutely not.

We just spent an offseason getting players who want to play and there is no reason to add an overpriced underachiever like Moss to the mix. Let someone else take the risk. Denver should be desperate for a pass rusher and the fact they are willing to give him away should tell you everything you need to know.

Nobody wants his contract either. He was a fairly high pick.

I laughed out loud when they traded up for him. And people want Shanahan here.

He has speed to pass rush, but would be run over like a truck against the run. From what I remember, they didn't believe his frame could handle additional weight and keep his speed rush ability.

It's another Shanny draft bust.

Maybe. Can he fit into the Rowdy outfit? If so we could have a spot for him. :laugh2:

Shanahan would not have nearly the control over personnel he had in Denver would he be hired as our head coach.

He doesn't have the speed, that's the problem. He has character issues, work ethic issues, and generally isn't very athletic.

Eh? He does have speed, he is just a weakling. If he added weight, he is probably losing the speed as I had noted earlier.

I remember the work ethic issues.

Might be because he flat out sux as a football player and was vastly overdrafted.

jerry jones did say on air, yesterday that they did talk to some team about a player for a low round draft choice, but they didnt entertain the ideal any further.

Jerry is not a fan of the west-coast offense either.
Throw in the fact that our offensive line is nowhere near suited for the zone-blocking scheme that they ran in Denver...Shanahan is not coming in here.
