Any love for Alfred Morris?

I liked the way Morris ran. But you would think that after running Elliot up the middle 10 times for 8 yards that they would have called some play to the outside of the line.

I think Morris should be starting and spelled by Elliot.

This may have been the best thing that can happen to Zeke. I Don't blame him for having a big head and believing all the hype about him. A little humility can go a long way.

At least Zeke has an all pro to learn behind. Poor Dak is undergoing baptism by fire.

They called several lateral plays for Elliot but the Giants defenders were faster than him and took him down for short or no gains. He looked tentative to me. He's a rookie, it should be expected, probably some nerves. Morris was clearly the better back today. If they don't give Morris more carries then there are two possibilities, the coaching staff is idiotic (distinct possibility) or the coaching staff is appeasing ownership (also very likely). So we'll see.

Listen...the RB's are not the problem. The club has a "HC" that has a predisposed concept of throwing the ball and the Running Game is secondary. Morris has experince against division rivals and Elliott is a college student...give him some time to learn. How many years did it take Murray to have a break out season??

He looks good. So good the use of the highest draft pick in a long time on a RB seems stupid considering all of the holes the team has.

Maybe if the first 4 picks in the draft actually helped to improve the team we would be better.

1. Zeke - Will be the best 2nd string RB in the league. Mcfadden may have been the best 2nd string rb too though.
2. Smith - maybe next year he will be here. Practically a first rd pick being so early in the 2nd.
3. Collins - Didn't hear his name once
4. Tapper - Maybe next year.

I heard Collins' name called too often - by guys in black&white shirts.

I'll have to watch Zeke next game. We should never have babied him and actually played him more during preseason. He was awful this game and Morris was very solid. If I see a similar performance next game, I'll be concerned.

Morris looked excellent in his limited carries. Great vision, decisive, picked up big chunches of yards after contact.

When does McFadden come back?

That's kind of what I thought of our running game. :D:D

I didn't realize how good he was. Props and glad he is on the team. He should get the ball more, at least splitting carries with Zeke.

For the life of me, I can't figure why this coaching staff can't run a misdirection play. I was watching the Pats play earlier and they are sooooo fricken unpredictable. I can only dream what a good coaching staff could be like here. Morris wasn't even used the way he should have been used today. He was the best RB on our team but the coaches apparently liked those 2 yard runs by Zeke.....

Had much better vision than Elliot. Which is not surprising. Elliot had limited play in camp and is not used to the speed of an NFL defense and what they can do. Morris used to be a very good back. He definitely should have gotten more carries. I don't care if Elliot is a 1st rd pick. He'll be here for a long time.

I don't understand why they stopped giving him the ball, Elliot did nothing today, Morris was running the ball well, terrible job by Linehan.

Zeke has potential.
Morris is a muleheaded runner who will smash through defenders. Right now, the mule is ahead of the gazelle.

I cannot blame the coaches for using more of Zeke. They needed to see his effectiveness. Now they know to ease him in, with Morris the guide.
