More like fed up with the status quo and hitching our team to a 34 year old QB coming off surgery and a HC with no vision and a GM that insists on bringing guys who haven't amounted to much with the likes of the Jags. If you thought the defense was bad last year just wait. Also it's no coincidence that Romo had what the worst YPC of his career last year? He couldn't throw the ball deep. Sorry still not seeing the direction of the club for the present or the future except staying under the cap. If that makes me "mad" or nominated for the worst post of the year so be it.

Well if you put it like that I have to agree I am burnt out with the mediocrity this team has portrayed for the better part of the past 17 yrs. makes me sick to know az, sea, and the aints all have been to a SB since the last time this storied franchise went.

Here is what you guys all need to ask yourself:

Would you rather be in Seattle's position 4-5 years ago? Or would you rather be where we were 4-5 years ago?

We have an opportunity to spend a season, maybe two, shedding dead weight and setting ourselves up to really flesh out the roster with talent instead of overpaid aging players (just like Seattle did), yet so many of you would rather keep doing exactly what we have done and simply expect different results.

It's insanity.

And those teams are still trying to improve their rosters. Yes I get we haven't had the draft yet and all. But there have been guys we could've gone after. Heck we wouldn't even negotiate with Ware after he got his offer from Denver we let Hatch go to our rival and what did we sign? A guy from the Jags who is what 30? Another backup from the Panthers or Texans or whatever and the worst 1st rd draft pick QB who was what 28 when drafted? How did we improve the club? I was hoping we would make a serious play for Melton then look at the draft consider JFB for the future then use the rest of the picks on DE/DT/OLB/S maybe an oline or another young WR. Instead we haven't addressed much at all. I'm trying to be patient and see if there is a direction but I'm not seeing it and what's worse is I'm seeing more and more of JGs fingers all over these moves. Don't mean to rant just a bit frustrated

List the players you'd have liked the cowboys to have signed this free agency period.

No what some of us would like to do is actually see a plan in place. If you are going to flush out contracts that's great but at least bring in some young talent to help build something. Not bring in guys who've shuffled around 3 teams and one who is 30 that's the Jags didn't want anymore. I still don't see a direction. We are hell bent that a 34 year old QB coming off a back surgery that couldn't throw the ball deep is really going to keep this team competitive. How are you gonna get guys like Dez and Tyron around when you don't have other talent around them. Bring in guys with potential and talent. We are going to be in solid cap space moving forward.

But but but we HAVE to sign at least one name that everyone knows! Over paying Melton = Superbowl and really having a plan. Didn't you know?

One guy I would've made a serious run at was Lindval Joseph he would've been a great fit for this team and he is young. Lamaar Huston would've been a very good signing for the club. Just a couple of guys I think would've been solid pieces for the team for the present and the future

Joseph doesn't fit our scheme and Houston got too much money.

I feel like Melton wants to be in Dallas, and obviously we want him here. But he's going to keep answering that phone while on his visit and the price tag will climb. He'll leverage us into a great situation for himself, but ultimately I think it gets done.

No, you care about the present of your team. You have no interest in the future because you refuse to learn from the past. You're mad because we aren'y treating the offseason like is Madden mode for once.

Talking to you is pointless I haven't said over pay anyone or backload contracts. I'm talking about bringing in guys with talent you obviously can't understand that. Welcome to ignore. First person to make that list.

Oh is that so because I recall a bunch if poster talking about Joseph during the season and what a great addition he would be

Im currently talking to a poster who doesn't understand how what he is proposing is both foolish and a knee jerk overreaction. It doesn't surprise me there would be others clamoring for Linval Joseph.

They have already done that at least twice since 95 how many times does this franchise need to "rebuild" to get it right?

If the F.O. has finally learned from past mistakes - they Cannot sign Allen ! Can understand the Melton interest, and I believe he would be a good signing. As long as it's about 3 years for not stupid money. Allen. I would be even more disapointed with the approach they seam to be taking, but then panic and take an older expensive player - whats the point ?
Sign Melton to a mid-level contract, give him plenty of incentives to prove he's healthy again. Go after either Donald, and move Melton to the 1 tech. Or Jernigan and put him at the 1 beside Melton (if Donald is gone). Maybe pick up an Ayers DE and draft one in the second. Pick up another DT in 3rd or 4th (Reid or Daquan Jones). If we are gonna go cleaning up all the dead money/bad contracts then they can't sign Allen for the same said contract - it makes no sense. Still think we already have our SDE in house, and with Selvie and a high (2nd round) pick we would be in better shape. No to Allen. Yes to Melton. And move onto the draft - stick with the plan they have obviously started with the cutting of Ware and Hatcher. Oh, and Spencer on a cheap prove it deal just for depth if they can pull it off ...
