Any news on Sharrif Floyd

Any boys fans in Minny , have any info on Sharrif Floyd , how is he doing in OTAs etc,..

FoR whatever worth, Frederick and Floyd are linked and so some of us are curious.

They are not linked. Floyd is not a Cowboy. We needed O line first and foremost. Frederick will have the better career. Mark it down.

And if we chose Floyd you would be saying the complete opposite.

We passed on Floyd for whatever crazy reason ran through Jerry's head at the time. Now its over and the guys we got for what could have been Floyd seem to be good young players. No need to dwell on it now....unless Floyd becomes a perennial pro bowl player and Frederick busts (even though I doubt it), then we have can all have the right to complain for at least 5 years.

You should know by now that OTA tell you very little to nothing about line players.

Plus, it is not just Floyd vs Freddy...you have to include Williams in that deal.

We saw Dallas final draft day board and short arms were certainly not in play..as he was 5th on their board.

They were just desperate for Oline help and took a two for one deal to get Frederick and Twrrance Williams instead of F
Old with their 18th pick.
It's really nt that complex. They liked him a ton..obviously.l.but liked the 2for1 deal better.

Oh yeah I agree with that. Dallas obviously valued him. I can't find any updates on how Floyd is doing unfortunately.

As for Terrence Williams, I am very curious as to how he pans out. He was definitely productive last season but I wonder if the whole extending his arms out to catch the ball will start to come naturally or will give him issues when it's game time.

Yeah, Floyd is linked to us because most think we should've taken him. For me, I don't know, because I no longer study players before the draft, so that I won't be biased or unbiased. Just like Randy Moss to Greg Ellis.

After a week of being blocked out of every play, a very frustrated Floyd sacked the water boy, he now has 4 sacks for his career (3 of which were in college.)

With our past of getting guys who can play later in the draft, don't know why we would even want Floyd there. With guys like Bowen, Canty, TRat, Hatch, and others found later in the draft, this team has shown it can find guys along the DL......one of the few things it has shown it can definitely draft well late recently.

So why spend a first rounder on it.....I just don't see it, leverage our teams' good attribute and draft other positions high in the draft. News of Sharrif.....give me news of Crawford instead.

perhaps it was the same "crazy" thing that ran through avout 20 other gm's heads?

we got the better deal...I think Fred will be better than Floyd, straight up...add in williams and this is a no brainer to me...

Even if people on this board do not like it, this will end up being revisited countless times because of their own draft board that was on full display. If it annoys you now, then you should certainly duck out around November 3rd when the Vikings play Dallas because it will be in full rotation on ESPN that week.

The best thing that Cowboys fans can hope for is Frederick to become the best pick since Larry Allen and for him to dominate Floyd and the Vikings when they play.

It also wouldn't hurt for Escobar and Williams to be producing by then so don't have to hear how they could have had Floyd and Frederick instead of the three we picked.

I'll second that. I was thinking the other day that whoever the scout is in charge of defensive lineman should gat a huge bonus. Add Brent and Lissemore to that list.
