He is accumulating nagging injuries (Neck, Shoulder, Quad, etc) at an alarming rate -- he looks very much like he did at the end of last season. Hopefully it's just a coincidence, however, I do worry that age and wear-and-tear are catching up to him.

Having said all that, he is STILL ON PACE for another 10+ sack season.

people saying the guy is done and who cares.

Good god we have some of the most ignorant, disrespectful non appreciative fans in the league.

I agree with you on the 'who cares' posts but it is not disrespectful to think it may be time for him to hang it up. This is a discussion board and that is certainly up for discussion.

I don't agree at all that Ware should hang it up. He is STILL ON PACE for 10+ sacks.

I might, however, be time for Ware to become more of a designated pass rusher type of player. I'm not sure his body can hold up to being a 3 down player any more.

We need all the bodies we can get to maintain that line's intensity, including Ware's, but I did notice an uptic in the DL's energy level after he left the game. That second effort and presence of mind to go after the ball by Wilber was really encouraging.

Now that I can agree with. These "who cares" idiots are not fans but trolls from the iggles fans board.

Good god that you would think people who believe Ware is no longer a marquis player are disrespectful, unappreciative, and most of all, ignorant.

It's about time for him to be 2nd and 3rd down player only. Let a bigger body play that spot on 1st down and short yardage plays and let Ware save some wear and tear on his aging body. I think if he can get healthy, he will still be effective in pass rushing situations but if asked to play every down, his body will simply continue to break down.

Honestly he has been playing in situations this year. He has not played everydown like in the past.

Last night was the first time the guy ever went out of a game like that, the other time was san diego in 09 and that was with about 6 minutes to go.

think about that, he played every snap from day 1 in 05 until last season when they started rotating him.

Yeah, I heard that quote and was filled with hope and optimism. However, I think Sean Lee basically said the same thing after his toe injury last year. So, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a little longer.

I know like Lee, Ware will give it his all and do everything he can to get well as quickly as possible. Ware isn't the type of player to milk an injury and will play even if hurt.

I don't know if Ware should hang em up after the season or not but he really needs to rest and get 100% healthy. If this current injury keeps him out for a few weeks, I would consider sitting him until December and go from there. If this team makes the playoffs, he could help tremendously if he can go full throttle.

I think he has a couple more good seasons in the tank as long as those nagging injuries go away and use him in certain situations, subbing in and out a lot. It is time to find another DE in the draft and get him ready sooner than later.

I was 50/50 on re-signing Hatcher but with two guys probably gone after the season and an injured Ware, they need to lock up Hatch as soon as possible.

I'm kind of with you on this. He was starting to become this lately anyway.

I think his point is that certain players have earned the right to a certain level of respect. The fact that he is having nagging injuries and that his play may be declining is something to evaluate but I think Ware has earned a little more respect then "who cares, he's done" - even if his role does need to be reduced.

What is ignorant about that?...the who cares is a bit of an exaggeration but its not like he's a major force anymore.

People act like he's the greatest defensive player to ever step on the field. He's 17th in career sacks and needs another 18 to crack the top 10. He's an old 31 and breaking down more by the minute.

He was a great player. An all-time great, no. An HOFer, no, and his best days are behind him. I dont know whats disrespectful about that.
