Any Positives?

Here's my $0.02 on the subject:

1- This team was going absolutely no where with Bledsoe under center, you know it, I know it, and Parcells obviously knows it. He WAS a good qb who WAS fearless facing the rush. He still is deadly accurate when he has time to plant and throw, but he no longer keeps his eyes down field. As a result he sees the rush, so he has happy feet and his throws are no longer the darts that they used to be.

2- Romo made - and will continue to make - some bad decisions, but it is obvious to anyone who watched the game that the team has a completely different energy with him in the game, and he has the ability to make some things happen. He made several throws and plays that Bledsoe cannot make.

3- Did anyone notice that once Romo came into the game Witten showed up? I know we lost the game, but that is a GREAT sign for the future if it continues. Witten had several big catches in the 2nd half, and it is my hope that it continues because he is a VITAL part of this offense.

4- TO... I know he had a big drop, and I realize that if he makes that catch and run we have a real chance in the game. BUT, he had 6 catches for 98 yards and a TD, and he would have had another HUGE td had Bledsoe's arm not gotten hit. He was also the designed target on the boneheaded throw by Drew at the end of the 1st half. He could have had a MONSTER game, but alas...

I will say however that it was refreshing to see Romo look for him as the first option more often. I love Terry Glenn, but he should be the #2 option on this team, not the #1. JMHO

5- Demarcus Ware... I mean if you are looking for a bright spot from this putrid game, here it is. He was all over the place. Theismann (yeah I know he's a weenie) said "this guy is unblockable, he's like Strahan for the Giants." Now I'm not putting him in that category yet, but D. Ware was all over the place last night. 1 sack, 4 hits on Eli, a forced fumble, and countless other "pressure" plays.

Oh, and he did it without the aide of sterroids... I'm just sayin'.

Absolutely the main, if not only, bright spot was D-Ware.

I think Ellis had some good moments as well, should've had a forced fumble if not for idiotic refs.

I think some of the things romo did were bright spots. He showed he can do A LOT better against pass rush, yes he will get sacked, but he doesn't just sit there and wait for them to come. He also was able to put some throws on a rope with good accuracy.

I have mentioned this on multiple posts this morning, but i think the next 3 weeks will show us a lot when it comes to Romo, and the emotional status of this team. If we can play to potential we should be 6-3 when we host Indy.

Good Lord how nice would that be!?!

If we can get out of the next 3 games with a winning record and Romo at the helm we have a chance to make some noise moving forward. If not, eh we always have next year. We absolutely HAVE to get on a run.

Going on the road might ironically be a good thing for this team. Getting away from the Dallas sideshow might bring about an "us versus them" mentality.

Good points all around. I can't argue with any of this, but I'm still anxious to see how Romo responds after making those mistakes. Were those the result of nervousness? Will he learn from those mistakes quickly enough to win next week in a Hostile environment? How will Romo be able to play once teams start game-planning for him rather than Bledsoe?

I was a avid Bledsoe supporter, but his play as of late was appalling, and he deserved to be benched. I hope Romo prove all of his detractors wrong next week, as I am attending my first Cowboys game, and I have to admit...It'd be pretty cool if, ten years from now, I could look back at a vaunted Romo career and say that I was there for his first start.

positives last night? I can't say I saw many. D could not tackle, line could not block, money WR dropping balls and QB's throwing ints. Only bright spot was when the game ended. Hopefully things will look better next week in Carolina

Yep, but we have to admit our season is over.

If its bledsoe in there, we know wut happens. he always chokes in big games. we talk so much about Mcnabb choking' etc..etc.. and we dont see wut we have at home. Bledsoe was not gonna take us to the big one. I just cant imagine him playing GREAT in Chicago (for expl) against that defense. so most likey we would of been out. (or at any other place in playoffs)

Now with Romo, the positive about this is we'll see wut we have in him. we will have hope! he gives us a lil more time behind center and he can make plays. Lets just hope hes more successful and less mistakes. Mistakes tho' with his NFL experience we can say is ''ok''. (for now) Bledsoe just does it over n over n over. meh!

I predict a 8-8 Season.

It was nice to see where plays are actually intended to go... seriously.. I felt like 85% of Bledsoe's plays never produced the result that they were drawn up for.. he would drop back .. pat.. step up.. pat.. then either look some more, check down, get sacked or throw his arm up in some lob because someone was in his face or he was trying to throw on the move or sail it out of bounds. At least with Romo, he could stay alive long enough for the routes to come open and throw to an open guy.

The Strahan sack just did it for me.. if you are holding the ball for 8 seconds and can't find anyone open, then you are too scared to throw the ball and make a mistake.

So yes.. maybe we can finally see some of the offense that we didn't have time to see before.

And I agree that Ware ahd a good game.. Canty was close on the Burress pass and Henry played fairly solid once again.

The Strahan sack just did it for me.. if you are holding the ball for 8 seconds and can't find anyone open, then you are too scared to throw the ball and make a mistake.

Usually a quarterback isn't just standing there staring downfield.. and when a guy... 1 guy.. starts running straight at them, they usually move out of the pocket to buy a extra second, and either hit a receiver coming back, check down to a back or throw it out of bounds... they don't just stand there and wait.. if the routes not open after 4 seconds you need to think about moving

If nothing else, Romo will help by being able to move the pocket and forcing more outside contain rushes
