I like more size as well, but Charles Haley wasn't any bigger and he had a pretty good career.
Decent career...

Remember the hits but not the misses.
Just because a handful of guys made it, that isn't evidence of anything. Sad day for critical thinking in the zone
it's an ecample of it can be done, a good role model
Its evidence that it CAN be done. You can't ignore it because a small percentage have done it. Does it make it less likely? Of course. But it doesn't make it unlikely either. With this type of attitude why even try guys out? Its a waste of time according to your logic.
Good to hear the insight. All in all, as light as he is and where he is likely to be on the depth chart, he is going to have to be a special teams contributor. Did he do that at Texas Tech?
This guy reminds me of John Randle, another undrafted undersized DT who went on to a HOF carreer with the Vikings.
OK, I'll bite. Why does he remind you of John Randle other than the fact that they were both undrafted? I'd say its probably less than a 50% chance he makes the team, right? We do have a lot of DL right now. Although I would assume we end up with a couple on the practice squad also. Hope the kid, or really any of them become a good player for us...
You know what a more realistic ecample (sic) is? 10,000 UDFAs who you never heard of.
They're about the same size, both from Texas, undrafted, and have a great motor. Wishfull thinking has a lot to do with it too. LOL
Nobody was saying it can't be done. Duh
I was pointing out how silly it is to cite an example or two as evidence while ignoring the more common counter examples

The reason the example was brought up was to prove it CAN BE DONE lol.
Randle was 20-30 lbs heavier
The criticism of Randle was his size. At 6’2”, 247, most pro scouts doubted that he could play on the defensive line in the NFL. So, Randle put his sights on the Vikings who had a good number of defensive linemen who were considered “undersized” by NFL standards. - See more at: http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/2...-2010-class-john-randle/#sthash.xmgF05U3.dpuf
Randle played in the 280's most of his career. I don't know if Bush has the frame to carry that much weight. I think his best chance is right where they are working him.
The Cowboys have bigger need at DE than at DT anyway. I'm not sure why anybody is suggesting moving Bush to DT.
