When he found out we scored 82 points in two games, he said Meh forget it, and bailed for the season

Have you even been paying attention to anything cowboys related this season?

He pretty much did the exact opposite of what you just posted.

Cowboys (for what it is worth) said Glenn would be out 4-6 weeks and 1-2 weeks have already gone by. I suspect he won't be available before our bye week. I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't the same time frame we might see Ellis cause that would be 11 months removed from his injury.

He had the surgery to remove the torn cartilidge from his knee instead of the microfracture(which wouldve ended his season) the initial reports he would be back in 4-6 weeks

the idea of glenn ellis and johnson coming in for november sounds mighty nice for a stretch run.

That it does. I just hope they're not too rusty. :D

I hope and pray Glenn can come back reasonably healthy for the Cowboys because he can stretch the field like NO other wide receiver on the team!

I will say this, this is exactly if the Cowboys stay in the race until after our bye week, leads us to this theory;

First, Glenn should be back after the bye week, they said 4-6 weeks, but you got to remember Terry Glenn said he was or felt he was rushed back too soon, it was about 4 weeks, then he reinjured himself, so i say he will come back after the bye week;

Next, that is about the same time that I expect Greg Ellis to be back, i cant remember the guys name but he is a DE best i remember for the carolina panthers, he had same injury as ellis, he started playing exactly a year after the injury; so give ellis that time frame,

Next, If tank johnson doesnt get the 6 game suspension but the nfl commissioner keeps the 8 game suspension, then Tank Johnson should be back after the bye week, or the game after that.

That will give us 3 key players after the bye week, Terry Glenn, Greg Elllis & Tank Johnson, that should give us the big push, motivation for the whole team to see to energize the Cowboys. Then, that will give us the big push going into November and December, something that the Cowboys have lacked the last 5-6 years going into December.

Do you remember a few years ago, when Julius Jones got hurt, and came back after 5 -6 games after his injury, he had a quickness to him, which in turn gave the team a spark. I am thinking that, if the Dallas Cowboys stay in the race until after the bye week, then those 3 players can give us that push into the playoffs, and energize the other team players.

So, lets look at the schedule remaining until that time;
This week Bears, granted we were suppose to lose, so either way, as long as the Cowboys stay with the bears and make a game of it, I will be happy;sure i want them to win, but you cant have everything.
Then next games are;
9/23 @ Chicago I think we can win, but will be close,
9/30 ST LOUIS We should win, due to what they did to us last year;
10/8 @ Buffalo we should win this game, buffalo is beat up
10/14 NEW ENGLAND I think this maybe preview for SuperBowl, so i dont want to show them too much;
10/21 MINNESOTA Minny has a terrible QB, we should win, but tough game, due to minnys tough defense and their young rb;
11/4 @ Philadelphia either phily will bounce back or they go in the tank;
11/11 @ NY Giants I think the Giants are fixing to fall apart; we should win;

This should leave us at 7-2 or so, by time we play the giants and beat them in NewYork, with Terry Glenns help, tank johnson and greg ellis back I think we can beat the giants in newyork then make that push into the playoffs.

just my thoughts;
joe

We're going to regret it if Glenn comes back. Mark my words.

I bet Crayton and Hurd will just LOVE that, being demoted. And if we keep going anywhere the same pace we've been going, doubley so they will hate it.

And what, so he can come back, possibly, maybe, if at all, increase the level of play from the 2nd receiver postion maybe just a little bit...and he'll be back for, uh, what, the remainder of this season? And than what? Does anybody honestly think he'll be back for another run with us?

I like not fixing what ain't broken. Yea, brilliant, let's just mess with the midpoint season devoloped chemistry this team will have built together, all so we can let this punk back in the lineup.

It wasn't supposed to be our offense that was supposed to be going places and doing everything, it was supposed to be our defense. Our offense thgouh has risen to this challange and become something VERY special with Hurd and Crayton alongside TO and Witten, NOT Glenn. In fact even when Glenn was supposed to be playing this entire season did anyone think it was going to be the offense immediately clicking. Bringing Glenn back might just be messing with something we shouldn't. Why on earth would we ever want to do that?

He should be insurance if he comes back, simple as that. Our 4th receiver there incase someone gets hurt. Or for a play here 'n there. Maybe even as an occassional decoy. Other than that we just don't need him and he posses to great of a risk to any devolped chemistry we currently are building. This is a team sport. And from my last assessment, Glenn likes to pick 'n choose when he participates in the "team" aspect of the game- and I think it's been like that his entire career.
