I think McFadden was placed on the NFI as an insurance if something happens to any running back. If Morris and Zeke are healthy or not lost for the season, Mcfadden will be released or placed in the IR. He doesn´t fit the system pluse he hasn´t practice with Dak. In my opinion I rather see Jackson running the ball, see if he has a future in the NFL.

Good point, robjay. Jackson is someone that I favor as much as DMC also and maybe even more. Could this be overkill on the part of the FO? H-m-m, perhaps so. They're like a rich old man who doesn't want to part with his stash of gold in a secret hiding place. Kinda nuts, actually.

You can't blame them after what happened last year with the turnstile of RBs we went thru last year.

It's like my mom used to say...Lord rest her soul.

When I was a kid..I used to ask my Mom why we always bought enough groceries to fill the pantry every time we went shopping.

We had a big walk in pantry full to the gills all the time.

Mom would answer..

"You never grew up in the Great Depression or went thru WII did you.?"

Of course I'd say..."no".

And she'd say.."I pray you never will, too."

And then I'd hear about having no food in the house when she was growing up and about Spam and food coupons and long lines during the war.

"That's why I keep the pantry full."

I learned not to ask that question again. And then there was the big freezer in the garage.

I think Jerrah and Garrett want to keep the pantry full with RBs.

Not a problem -- as I understand it, he won't be back anytime soon, since he's still on IR. I'm sure he's no more than a safety net in the event some of our other backs go down with injury. To be totally honest, DMC doesn't thrill me, either. I'd just as soon opt for Jackson if a roster opening turns up but that's just me. Not anticipating a championship, just praying is all. -- lol
