Just read the Ranch report and somebody posted a report that the Cowboys holding a PC Monday afternoon at 2:00 CST. This info was contained in a posting discussing the possibility that Thurman would be hired either as our secondary coach (with Campo leaving to become DC for 1 of 2 possible offers elsewhere) or as Campo's assistant. I think the Ticket was somehow involved/responsible as possible source. Also it was mentioned that Thurman had been replaced as the Ravens secondary coach by Mark Carrier so we no longer needed to get their approval to talk to him.

I don't know how Campo going to the Skins would negatively impact us. We are in a 3-4 not a 4-3 defensive scheme. These are not Campo's associated players and coaches either of almost 6 years ago either.

Take the source with a grain of salt. They throw a lot of crap on the wall over there in hopes that some of it sticks.

On second thought, if there is a PC on Monday afternoon maybe it is to introduce our new LB coach who we apparently hired over the weekend. Of course I'm really hoping it's to announce Thurman hiring; he's the guy I wanted all along as our secondary coach.

Campo clearly wants to be in Dallas -- he took a demotion to come here (he was the assistant HC in Jax).

I don't think you have a PC to announce Dennis Thurman is coming.

I was about to say...where the heck did anyone hear that Campo was leaving for another position. More importantly where was he going to be getting this DC position at...when there are no openings?

Wow. Some people just really shouldn't post topics. Ever.

I have not heard anything about a PC, I think some posters over at the Ranch might be bored.;)

The only DC position I think is open is the one at A&M. Don't the Commanders already have a DC Greg Balach or something like that?...

Campo was on the verge of being canned in Jax. He was right to take any offer he got!

Carrier was the secondary coach for the Ravens last year. All they did was bring him back as they did Dennis Thurman. Not only did they announce Carrier comming back, they also announced Wade Harman, Mike Pettine, and Vic Fangio will be returning from last season also.

They are just keeping parts of the staff together.

That's not the way I've read it. There were a couple things at play. Campo wanted to be Jax DC, but knew he wasn't going to get it. Saw the 'Boys opening and spoke to Del Rio about giving the 'boys permission to interview him, because he wanted to come back to Texas. In the meantime, Jax covered their bases by hiring another defensive coach.

Oh and considering they just hired a LBer coach and possibly another secondary coach, there will probably be a PC in the near future.
