Specifically when we had the ball with 1st and goal at the one yard line?

JG calls back to back fades to RW and then Marty B - both incomplete. We end up kicking a FG and we win the ball game on a TNew pick 6.

Everybody was screaming for JG's head and wondering why he didn't run the rock in with Choice or run a QB draw...(Barber was out and Felix injured his PCL)

Now fast foward to the SD game and we run it four times and get stuffed and everybody is screaming why did we do that and calling for JG's head again.

Maybe "Red Jesus" is just giving the fans want they want...

People are alway going to complain. It doesn't matter what plays are called. You have 3 opportunities to punch it in from the 1, and we failed.

People need to quit yapping about the playcalls and worry more about why we aren't executing.

Couple of comments:

1) Ultimately, it was the players that didn't get into the endzone. That's not on Jason Garrett.

2) When they had the 4th down call for Barber to get it as the fullback, that was a pretty poor playcall. And Irvin agrees with me here that you didn't give him a chance to develop a head of steam, he had two steps rather than 5 or 6 and it didn't put him in the best position to score, which is the OC's job.

So, the first 2 or 3 tries, I don't think JG was at fault for. With our O-line, we should dominate a line of scrimmage. But the last call was just a poor play selection.

Why does it always have to be one or the other? Pass only or run only? What ever happened to trying both? Ya know, balance? Nah...

I actually like the 4 runs called, but I would a) not have run to the right side every time and b) put in choice at least for two downs.

I don't think the problem was the idea to run it 4 times...

it was WHERE they ran it..all 4 to the right. Yes, Barber picked up 3yds on 1st and Goal from the 4. But come on, change it up, you can't run the SAME play 3 times in a row after that. After the 2nd time, you have to consider a pass or a run in the other direction. After the 3rd time, you do not run to that side.

Their Dline was stuffing the Oline and their LBS were filling the gaps expecting the run.

That decision making is just ...confusing.

Bingo.

Wonder why so few get this concept.

They didnt run the same play 3 times in a row, as Wade noted the blocking was different on each play. They just didnt get it done.

I'm sorry, but when you have a RB as big and as physical as Barber is, getting the ball moved ahead two ft shouldnt be an issue.

One Dimensional + Predictability = Lost Element of Surprise.

So redundant my nephew playing Madden knows better, seriously...
