Anybody think Reggie Bush is a bust?

I wouldnt go as far as calling him a bust though... way too early for that.

Emmitt made a great point on countdown last night. He said the saints were getting away from pounding deuce and wearing down the defense, then bringing in bush for the knockout. Bush isn't any everydown back and defenses are just licking their chops at a chance to get a shot on this guy.

A bust? Nah, I wouldn't call him a bust just yet, just like I wouldn't call Carp a bust, give them time and see their progression then make the judgement.

Parcells said Mario Williams was #1 on our draft board and still thinks the Texans made the right move.

It's relative to what you consider a bust.

He still thinks he can outrun every player on the field.

I knew before he was drafted he wasn't going to dominate this league. His biggest asset is speed, and well college speed doesn't translate to NFL speed. The players are faster and better. All of you "McFadden is the greatest" should take heed of this warning.

As for if I think Bush is a bust. No. He isn't a hall of fame player, but he has playmaking skills and I wouldn't be upset if he was on my team. Personally, I would love to have Bush and Barber rather than Jones and Barber.

Agreed.. you can go back to posts I made before the draft and I said the same thing.

He is a very talented player but not a full-time back. He'll have an OK career IMO but will never be a star.

The difference is that Westbrook is actually crushing NFL defenses whereas Bush was crushing College defenses.

Westbrook had 100 rushing and 100 receiving yards on Sunday... the only times Bush did things like that were on Saturdays.

I think he is the highest paid 3rd down back in the history of the NFL.

Makes me wonder how these NFL scouts even earn a living.

Plenty of Heisman QB's drop to the bottom of the draft, and for good reason.

the westbrook that we see today, is the player that the saints hoped reggie would become. Westbrook cun run inside, outside, and can be lined up all over the field. He is just injury prone.

He is even built like a running back should be with that low center of gravity, that gives him that great balance. Bush is tall, slender, and runs too high in my opinion. He is built like a wr and runs like one between the tackles.
