Is anybody else worried about the amount of hits and piles-ons Dez is experiencing and the toll it is starting to take on him?

I just look at the last 4 of the last 5 regular season games:
  • Game 15 2012 - Hurts Finger and Dr's recommend season enduring surgery. (He doesn't have the surgery obviously)
  • Game 17 2012 (Commanders) - Missed much of the critical 4th quarter with a back injury and needed a wheelchair after the game
  • Week 1 2013 (Giants) - Injures Foot
  • Week 2 2013 (KC) - Injures his back in the 2nd half is is in and out and doesn't play particularly well in the 2nd half
I know I have been pounding on this topic a lot in recent weeks, however, I see him taking a lot of big shots -- lots of catches where 3 or 4 defenders end up taking him down due to his ability to fight for extra yards.

None of these are 'major' injuries but they <do> pile up.

The fact his back is bothering him again worries me. Hope this isn't a chronic issue with him.

Someone should tell him and Murray how long Marion Barber's NFL career lasted.

The problem is how do you convince a player like Dez that he should go down?

It's hard. No doubt. The coaches need to keep reminding him. Dez does look like he toned it down from past years.

A good way to help save him from himself is not make him layout for a catch when he has a two step lead, or throw in front if him in a slant.

I didn't know he hurt his back in the second half. That concerns me too. I hope it's not serious or lingering.
