I just can't believe this year. We have just clinched home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a rookie QB! I would have NEVER predicted this and it's what makes it feel so wonderful. Congratulations to Cowboys nation. We have waited a LONG time to get this chance.

I'm just hoping I don't wake up and find out I'm dreaming :) It's just been such a great year!
I honestly don't expect a Super Bowl this year. I just dont think we are there yet. I think we are very close however. Who ever beats us will have to claw there way to a win.

We are primes for a run though. This is our 1991 IMO

This is an amazing season so far! It really has been fun to watch and is often hard to believe.

I wore a Dallas Cowboys shirt today. When I walked into work today in the hall a cute girl was looking at me (hey, hey, hey ;) ) and then she said "Love the shirt. How about that? Home field advantage!" I just start strutting my stuff the rest of the way down the hall like a bad mofo. Haha
(Not really but you get the picture. It feels good)

I would be alright with dreaming because I'm beginning to think it is something much more permanent than that:omg:

Perhaps, but this team is so different compared to the past teams it seems. Hopefully those ugly seasons past can finally be put to bed with this team.

Yeah I'm more confident in the new faces, probably because of a lack of association with past failures.

I've been surprised at how confident in this team I am. It helps that they find numerous ways to win.

I feel the same way too, but then I look at the rest of the NFC. Who are we afraid of? The Cowboys can beat any NFC team if they play the way they've been playing most of the year. And all of our playoff games will be at home. I know our home field advantage isn't great, but it's a heck of a lot better than playing in Seattle, GB, or NY. If they make it to the Super Bowl, that's where it will get tough. There is a very good chance the AFC team they face will be much better than the teams they had to beat to get there.

And let's not compare this team to that 91 team. Unless they bench Dak for Romo like they did w Aikman for Beurlein, I would say the two teams are very different.

It has been fun, I knew once dak started, and even in PS , that he could take the team to the playoffs.
I didnt ever think it would be like this, with 11 in a row, and already have div and hfa with 2 games to go.

Thing is winning the early games almost guarantees a playoff spot. but this team kept winning and here we are.
They are a "team", that is I think something Dak helped forge, is the team mentality, they win and lose together.
But they think they can win any game with anyone.
This will help in the playoffs.

Thing is though now they may relax too much, it will be 2 weeks of games they dont have to win, and then a week off, before
the next must win game.
This is why they still need to play and win, just keep it going, and if they play tony in 2nd half, I dont think that will
hurt, as he is part of the team.

DandyDon52 I remember your post where you said we should go with Dak in PS that turned to 20 pages of telling you that you were a bum, etc, etc. Who's laughing now??? ;)

Its like 1991 in that I don't think we are quite there. We have weaknesses that can be exloited in the playoffs. Alot like 2014 when we couldnt stop Rodgers. Secondary is playing better then 2014, but if we cant pressure Rodgers, Ryan, Stafford or even Eli then your odds of winning those games seriously decreses. And dont sleep on Seattle. Seattle is very much a january team

yes I remember that, lol they let me have it good !
I saw something in him on the field, so then read up on him, and he just seemed like a winner.
He has flaws, doesnt have a cannon arm, but he has the right character to be a leader and winner.

And even back then I was not dissing tony, he is a good qb, I really just wanted to see dak play as a starter, and see how it went.
I got to see that, and it went pretty good so far. Hopefully they can get to and win the SB.
I want to see the no rookie ever won a SB record broken !

When I first saw tony play in I think 2006 preseason, I thought wow this guy should be the starter !
Tony was always a wild QB and different than dak.
Later on bill made him the starter, but should have went with him earlier.

Yes, I would agree we do have some weaknesses that make me nervous. Our defense was my main concern, but they've played so much better than expected, especially the last few weeks. And if they can keep giving Dak time, I don't think they can be stopped on offense. They probably aren't quite there yet, but maybe they are. I hope so, it's hard to get to this point and who knows what happens next season.

And I'm still not scared of the seahawks. January team or not, they are 2-4-1 on the road this year, including a loss to the rams(seriously, the rams!), and they've been held to 6 points or less in three of those games. They did win in NE though, so I have to give them credit for that.

Seattle is a team you always have to be weary about. They have a tendancey to play bad at times but whip it on when it counts. I veiw them and GB as our biggest January threats IMO. Ryan is on fire but he is known choker.

I could describe my emotion of not winning as tempered dissapointment. Even though I dont expect, you are always dissapointed when you dont win. It's tempered by the fact we will get stronger , not weaker, in the offseason. And by the fact we are set up for a run.

Well if it is a dream, I hope I don't wake up until after we win the SB....then when I do wake up and find out it is all true....what a great dream / reality it will be.....

It will be like the Wizard of Dak...as the house that Jerry built falls onto the evil Goodell / Mara witches......The Death Star will crush them.....

I am really not worried about them relaxing. They have enough vets, O-line, Romo, Witten, Lee ... to keep everyone focused.

Not even I could have predicted the season we've had. :) However, I did believe the playoffs were possible if Dak could somehow pick up in the regular season where he left off in preseason. We all need to savor the moment because as we found out in 2014 that a great season doesn't guarantee anything the following season. I remember how excited we all were after the 09 season that led to the teams first playoff win in 13 years. We all thought that was the beginning of a number of great seasons but it turned out to be the last time we made the playoffs until 2014.

We went four straight seasons without even having a winning season. We've got to take advantage of this great season and get the most out of it. It's Super Bowl or bust with what we've accomplished this season. Winning not only the division but being the #1 seed has set the bar high and one playoff win isn't going to satisfy many of us. Anything less than a SB appearance will be a huge disappointment.
