Anyone else as excited for Luke Bryan and Lady Gaga playing this SB?

Is this a serious comment?
Nothing is free. The league doesn't owe the fans anything? The people who by watching the games, buying the merchandise, selling out stadiums across the country and funnel billions of dollars into the hands of the league are not owed anything in return by the league?
You may not have a general understand of the economics of the world we live in my friend.

Ooh. Someone is feeling a bit entitled today

ignorant political opinions don't entertain though,,, more of an annoyance.
I would probably agree with his message admittedly but agree; leave politics out of football outside of the MJ stuff down the line. That shouldn't be a platform for the half time show either obv; would take federal legislation yada and would do more damage than good. That's looking like it may take awhile considering the changes recently in the country, etc. Back to the official US drug; Alcohol does wonders for athletes, it's science. :D

'Hamilton' cast to sing at Super Bowl 51

That will probably be the last straw for me, not going to watch the Super Bowl this year.

do u also go to baseball games to watch the mascot?
are u serious? do u really get excited for the halftime?

I'm get your point but I can guarantee-friggin-tee you that my daughter and all of her friends will ONLY be watching the game because Lady Gage is playing. Same as when Bruno Mars played previously.

That and the SB ads.

You have to admit it is a shrewd way for the league to draw in more fans. That's why we were the first to do cheerleaders. It drew in more female fan interest in the Cowboys back in the 70s.

The majority of America would like it...(jus messn),, but not most NFL fans admittedly. Mula over substance; remember the Timberlake/Jackson trash show that got them great ratings. Listen to the music in the background of most games...whatever pop/rap that's "in" at the time is on the in the background; esp in JerryWorld, etc.

I don't know who Luke Bryan is. Lady Gaga is a heck of a performer, I just don't like her music.
I agree. I have a teenage daughter so Lady Gage has been woven into the fabric of my life whether I wanted it or not. Same for Justin Beiber, Adele, aria grande, etc. of all the top pop stars out there that seem all a blur - I gotta hand it to Gaga. The girl is a legit talent even if you don't for that genre.

A play about a great American. What's not to like?

Between Kap's kneeling, Beyonce and her BLM nonsense at halftime and now this, it is another clear political statement that I will not continue to support.

Anything but music. 90% of the population is going to hate whoever they trot out there and we resent any political message the ignorant performer decides to 'enlighten' us with. If the NFL feels the need to entertain fans in the stands let the cheerleaders put on a show or let the mascots duke it out midfield,,, circus clowns,,, Anything but music, please.

I like that line of thinking.

Personally I'd love to see the pro-bowl "skills competition" here.

And I mean the fun living incarnation we saw this year.

all good points, I agree and think u hit the nail on the head
its a way to draw kids and people that arent really into football that much. if they cancelled the halftime show 99% of the true football fans would'nt really care or notice
