Anyone else have issue with the Boys allowing players to get numbers 33 and 28

I know we don't retire numbers but 33 and 28 to me are special. I also think after the GOAT hangs it up 82 should be taken out.

I have no problem with numbers being reused. Would love to see 12, 22, 8, 33, 74, 54, 88 all being out on the field.

Had we put up 22 Emmitt would had to pick a different number. 88 with Pearson, Irvin and Dez.

Each person their own but I gave no problem seeing these numbers on the field if need be

Na, lets players use them. But I would hold off on rookies, let them switch in year 2.

If Dak wanted to be 12 would anyone mind?

What if Zeke wanted to be 22?

That would be bizarre, but I have so much respect for Dak, I would probably let him, same thing with Zeke and 22. I remember a couple years after Staubach retired, they gave 12 to some scrub in preseason. He ended up not making the team, but that was really weird.

22 and 33 aren't exclusive to Emmitt Smith and Tony Dorsett anyway. Bob Hayes and Duane Thomas respectively had those numbers. there was also some guy back in the 60s who had 12, I forget his name. I don't think he was a QB.

Which is why I'd wait til the 2nd season lol earn the star ur first TC, earn a legendary number after ur first season (if u blow up and show greatness)

And one more thing I'd add, don't force it on them. If they wanna carve out their own legacy with a number let them.

Unless they start using triple digit numbers, they have to reuse numbers. If they quit using the numbers for every great Cowboy player in History, there would not be enough to go around with out going to 100+.

I got a question, what do team that "retire numbers" do in TC? Allow some players to wear the same number?

Really, if we retired all the greats and fan favorites, we would have like 4 numbers left.

I mean just off the top of my head, 8,9,12,22,33,50,54,55,72,79,95 -- ok so maybe a little more than 4 numbers left, am I missing any? could be this was just a quick off the top of my head recollecting and I was not a fan in the 60s so I could be missing some and do we call Calvin Hill, Larry Cole, etc...legacies. But then Drew would have been the original 88 so Michael and Dez would be 2 different numbers. so you see my point. Hopefully who ever gets a legacy number looks up in the ROH and sees that number and it motivates him a little more knowing he has to live up to greatness.

I like players living up to their numbers. Such as #88 Drew, Irvin now Dez . Now if they had given 88 to Devin Street I would have a issue.

No because it is necessary to not run out of numbers in certain positions.
