Anyone else think T.O. will be cut?

I've seen Mortensen & Clayton on ESPN speculate that he'll be cut and I tend to agree. I read last night that he costs us approx. 7 mil against the cap next season: is that accurate? If so I really think he's gone. Parcells couldn't control him one iota, do you think Phillips/Garrett or anyone else could? Yeah I know, Jerrah has said he'll be here next season. Doesn't make it so. Which leads to my next question: who is available in free agency as a WR next season?

Not a chance. I think Jones loves the attention that TO brings to the Cowboys. Good or bad he brings a lot of media attention.

No.....who are they going to roll out there instead of him....Miles Austin??

You seen how a bad receiving corps effected New England.....and that was with Bellichek and Brady.

He will not be cut. Jerry has said it a number of times. Maybe after next year but not with a new head coach.

Ahh, what did TO do that BP couldn't control! :huh:

TO was our best WR, WHY would we cut him. It makes no sense at all..

So true, if they still had Deion Branch they would be in Miami not the Colts....... Thank God!!!!!

Huh!! Cut T.O. ...yeah right! T.O. will be around for quite some time.

I mean think about it ...Jerry Jones and his surrounding cast of coaches will not surrender T.O. to another franchise without a trade. But I don't even think he'll get traded. I think those in Cowboy power will wait to determine if the new coach can inspire T.O. to start doing the right thing. Whicj interprets into listening to his coaches, cathing the ball more, and staying away from the microphone.

The new coach is going to have His hands full trying to retain that runaway cannon!

You are aware that Jerry has been unequivocal that Owens IS coming back, aren't you??

If so, why would you put greater credence on what a coupla mediots have to say on the issue than the guy who'll actually make that decision??

You do know that many owners have said the coaches job is not in jepordy only to turn around and fire them a day later? I think TO will be back but just because Jerry said something one day does not mean things can change the next.

Pats Caldwell's 2 crucial drops (in TO'esque fashion) at critcal points kepts them out of trip to the big one...........

Brady and Bilicek had them in position..........just catch the damn ball

Caldwell was huge vrs. his old team Charges, but eased up mentally vrs COlts

The thing with Jerry is he caught a LOT of flak earlier in his career for flatly saying A, then going out and doing B... got a rep as a used car salesman, basically... this is an image he's been trying to rehabilitate in recent years, and I don't recall too many instances of "doubletalk" coming from him in that time...

So when he says something as unequivocal as what he said about TO, I do tend to take him at his word...
