I had planned to go to last week's and this week's...haven't missed Dallas in Florida in many years....but this season thus far has sucked the life out of me. Can't justify the cost just to be disappointed. Friend called me tonight and asked about it....told him no. ANd didn't feel bad about it. Hopefully Romo can put some life into this time but not really expecting much.

Im with you. Was gonna go to Tampa and Miami. Couldnt even get excited about the thot of going over to the other coast to see Cassel. Im still up in the air about Miami. Tempted to go see Romo back and take my kid to see the Cowboys. Im leaning toward not going but might decide Sunday morning to go.

gonna be another 8 years before theyre back playing the Dolphins in Miami.... (at least during the regular season) you should definitely take your boy!

Been to every Cowboys/Miami game in Miami (including preseason) for the past 10 years... unfortunately its the only time i get to see the Boys live...

Good thing about going to see them in Miami is there are as many Cowboy fans as Dolphin fans there, and for the most part, the Phin fans are pretty chill

Figures when they are down in Miami I'll be in NYC...
That being said, dunno if I would of gone unless the price was cheap. Has high hopes for both teams only to see them dead last in each division

Not much to get excited over these days...maybe something will change

I took him to the preseason game when the Cowboys were here last. I'll wake up Sunday morning and see if I feel like going.

Another thing about Dolphins game is the screwed up parking/tailgating now. I had season tix for 6 yrs and would get there early and tailgate every game. We could park real close to the stadium and go in close to my section. But they've screwed it all up IMO now. Im starting to understand why people get grumpy as they get older. Somebody is always messing up a good thing in the name of "progress."

cant wait til Sunday!! My Dads flying down from NY and were going together, was able to score some sweet front row seats in the endzone, hopefully Dez snags a beautiful pass from romo right in front of us!!!

very happy romo is back.... im hanging on to a small glimmer of hope that we can still sneak into the playoffs... it all starts tomorrow, secure one win and right this ship before we're all doomed!!

Judging from what I've read on the Dolphins forums, this will damn near be home game for Dallas, but that's the case in a lot of places... It's funny that most Dolphins fans think they're going to lose at home to the 2-7 Cowboys, most seem to view it as a fact that Dallas is a better team with Romo, I hope they're correct...

I saw an interesting thread on one of the Miami forums titled something like "choose one player from Dallas' roster and put them on the Dolphins"... The OL probably got the most votes collectively, with Martin, Smith, Collins, and Fredrick all getting mentioned... Sean Lee was actually mentioned by two people... Eventually order was restored and Romo was the favorite choice followed by Dez...

Well, the Gods have intervened. On Friday at about 5 pm, I had a friend call me with free tix to the local minor league hockey game. About 5 minutes later, another friend texted me that they had two free tix to today's Gator game. About 10 mins after that, I got a call from a buddy that had 4 free tickets to the Cowboys-Dolphins game. I took the hockey tix and gave them to a single father friend of mine to take his 5 yr old. Passed on the Gators game, but snapped up the Dolphins. Not the best seats, in the corner but they are lower level and on the Cowboys side so gonna have a good time. Have a Bucs, Phins and Commander fan going with me.

I can see passing on a Gators game. I wouldnt walk across the street to see the Gators if the tix were free, . . . . . . . . . . . unless they were playing the U, then I would go.

Yep, my son is a Junior at U of F, but he really isn't into sports so not hard to pass on those. I was a UM fan back going back to Schnellenberger days, loved it when Jimmy became our Coach.

We were in corner endzone on the Cowboys side...our section was probably 50-50 Cowboys fans. Overall I would guess 25-30% Cowboy fans...last time we were there for regular season I would guess closer to 40% or more. As always, it's a great place to go to a Cowboys game....for the most part the Dolphin fans are as accomodating as there is. You hear so much crap about many other stadiums, but I would have no reservations about taking a young kid to a game there. Would almost certainly be a good experience. The Dolphin fans are a credit to the NFL.

Great National Anthem and lots of military recognition. Lots of people singing along with the Anthem and cheering military at different times. A Hall of Fame excellence presentation for Coach Shula so was cool to see. The rain forecast was about 40% rain at 1pm going up to 90% at 4pm. It was drizzling as we walked from the parking lot to the stadium. I had bought cheap rain ponchos and had a spare so as we were walking in I gave one to a guy in a Dolphins jersey. It was probably a half mile walk and as we got inside the stadium I was surprised to see him right next to me. There was a beer vendor there and the guy asked if he could buy me a beer for giving him the poncho. I said sure...I think he was a little shocked by the $9 price tag but karma won over. As we got into our seats, the rain started a little harder and at one point was a deluge....a good bit of folks ran for cover. About halfway through the first quarter, the rain blew through and that was the last we saw of clouds the rest of the day....even the weather cooperated in making this a bright day for the Cowboys.

Of course the start of the game it looked like we were following the Weeden and Cassel game plan. A lot of runs and very short passing. Tony and Dez were not anywhere near the same page. Last year a buddy of mine came to the preseason game and were sitting in the endzone right behind the goal posts. In that game, Matt Moore was playing QB and the Dolphins were backed up to the goal line and tried throwing a bubble screen to the outside that one of our corners jumped and ran in for the TD...can't remember which one it was. Literally before the snap where McClain make the pick six, I looked to my friend and said it's time for a repeat of what we saw last year. Sure enough, there's the pass and McClain steps in front. We just were in awe and laughing our butts off. The pick came right in front of our section. On the TD to Williams, it was different quarter so the Cowboys were coming towards the endzone we were sitting at but the throw was to the opposite side of the endzone. Still had a good view. I was sitting happy as a clam at that point. And then that stupid onside/squib kick. I was cussing Garrett, posted on my FB that we have the dumbest f'ing coach in the league and Princeton needs to launch an investigation into how the hell he got a degree. I honestly thought that was the turning point in the game and sure enough a quick TD and then another one and suddenly it's a tie game.

I felt the second half we did start to control things and did start to look like a different team....looking downfield more and taking better advantage of things. The only real negative were the interceptions...both were on plays where Tony should have just ate the ball and took the sack. After Miami tied it, we just took control and that was nice to see. The third TD to Dez was right in front of us...a thing of beauty.

From the corner endzone seats, it's not the best view really for seeing holes for the OL or even to tell what the pass rush is doing. Just my general observations:

-McClain looked 100% better than he did a few weeks back. The play where he was spying the QB and just got outrun for the first down a couple weeks ago was gone. He looked great from side to side today.

-Jones definitely was having more trouble with WR's than he does with TE's....I think more technique than anything. Needs more time playing corner.

-As a fan it seemed like the pass rush was non existent until the end of the game, just did not see guys winning individual matchups and that was disappointing because I don't think Miami's OL is very good at all.

-McFadden definitely looked like the groin was holding him back...multiple times it looked like big holes and they closed down before he could get to them. I thought Turbin was excellent in spelling him...hard to believe he was just picked up. I think he did give up the one sack by blowing his protection, but other than that I liked what I saw.

- Didn't really notice Beasley at all, and Tony didn't seem to look for Witten at all for a good part of the game. I thought there were more opportunities for Escobar, Williams and Dez. There were several times that there was single coverage on Dez and Williams and we really never even looked their way....that was more in the first half.

-I really wasn't sure about the challenge in the first half but it was clear on the review. Good move there. The onside/squib was just awful. It changed the tone of the game for the rest of the first half and the start of the second and really looked like trouble.

-Chris Jones did a nice job punting I thought and Bailey's kickoffs were good.

Overall, I think this was just what we needed. Kind of a meat and potatoes game and we were able to persevere. I thought Romo was the difference...even when he had the bad picks, it just felt like we were going to be alright. No panic seemed to set in. Add in the losses by Washington and Philly, and it really was just about a perfect day. If we can take out Carolina, then look out NFC East....the Cowboys are back in it.

Glad you went. I'd had this marked on my calendar to go to this year b/c I have family in Orlando and a good friend in Miami and I love Miami. But 3 games into the losing streak I figured the 1K I'd need to go and also take my mom to Orlando was probably better spent later in the season or on the holidays.... I wish money was no object, sigh..... would love a miracle where I can spend that 1k on a playoff game
