Not that it would do an ounce of good but the fans of playoff teams (not just the Cowboys) need to voice their displeasures with the timing of interviews in the middle of the playoff.

I really think it messes with the integrity of the game. The league can not say for a fact that Garrett's interviw on Friday will not have an effect at all on the the outcome of our first playoff game. I'm not necesarily saying it will effect the outcome but anyway you twist it it effects the integrity of the game. THe season is over in a month. The off-season begins. Interviews can take place then.

Who knows, the time off Garrett uses for his interview on Friday may have been the exact time he had an "ah-ha" moment reviewing film.

This is not sound policy by the league at all and I'm very surprised it's allowed.

Miami and Atlanta can begin their interview process with candidates of teams that are out of the playoffs and conduct interviews with coaches in the playoffs after the playoffs.

This really sucks.... I checked NFL.com and there is no corporate contact email. Only for IS issues with the web site.... If anyone knows, i's be in debt. Thanks!

Actually, I kind of agree with this. Just because it's always happened, doesn't make it right. Don't see why we can't have a set date, where everyone is allowed to interview/shop for guys under contract, just like a free-agent date.

The NFL doesn't use e-mail for this. Write to them at...

NFL Office of the Commissioner
280 Park Avenue
New York, NY 10017

100% agree. I want the coaches thinking about the Cowboys, not about offers from other teams. I don't want the head of scouting leaving 3 months before the draft to another team either.

yeah. I guess it is a much better idea to only let coachs of teams that suck interview during this time.

You guys do know that they let these coaches interview for other jobs because most teams that are looking for coaches want to fill that void ASAP.

And a lot of the playoff coaches lose those chances for jobs because they cannot talk until their team is out of the playoffs.

Agreed. These guys' role and mental state during the playoffs is equal to if not more important to the game as the players' roles are.

I totally agree.

You know what? Actually it is. Or they need to disallow interviewing until after the Super Bowl.

Which is precisely why NO ONE should be interviewed until after the Super Bowl is over. Who cares if it gives those other teams less time to prepare with their new coach? That's their problem. Why should the good teams suffer because the bad teams have to rebuild?
