He's been in the studio for quite a while now, but I've just caught bits and pieces so far.

He's a smart guy and is being very diplomatic, but reading between the lines it almost seems like he's one of the ones who was on TO's "side". Very complimentary of TO and a bit evasive on questions about Romo.

Anyone listening?

Recording. And he's a thinker for sure.

Sounds like a freaking politician.

Just to clarify what he's said, because I'm sure I'll get accused of hating TO here any second, :) he went on about what a great player TO was, and when asked about any chemistry problems he caused, said (paraphrasing) "I guess that depends on who you ask. I guess I fall on TO's way of thinking where at times if you think something needs to be said, you speak up say it, and if someone doesn't like it that's too bad."

Then he said something about how he thought Tony had it pretty good with TO and the O-line he had, and something about "I don't see how all those things couldn't have helped him be successful."

Contrast that with the way, say, Miles Austin has handed questions like this. I guess that's why Mosley always said that Miles stayed above the fray when it came to all this.

Edit -- Now I see that DC is recording. Hopefully I got all that pretty much right. ;)

And now he's saying he does see a difference in Romo this year, that he sees more urgency and seriousness. So it's not like he's on here just trashing Romo.

Good luck getting any balls thrown in your direction during camp.

Spoken like a true QB. I mean, WR. I mean, IR.

He won't be on the roster anyways.

Roy
Austin
Crayton
Hurd
Manny Johnson

I think we only keep 5 WR's on the roster. Reading about Martellus getting time as a WR/TE is like having 6 WR's and not to mention Felix probably getting "WR" plays. I think between those 5 WR's and Martellus and Felix we will be fine at that position.

Now that he will have two kickers and a ton of DB's and LB's I think Stanbacks days are done.

He also still thinks he will play QB in the NFL. Obviously he was in the TO camp. Was interesting when he said Romo has more “urgency” now. Does that mean in the past he was farting around in practice? I dunno.

Can Holley take this guys place already.

Any of those guys on 4th and long can take his place! Hell, you probably could.

I hope they did not make Stanback pick up a mic...he might pop his shoulder out...again!

What a waste of a roster spot...

I agree with you but I wonder if Ogletree doesn't give Johnson a run for his money for that 5th spot.

Yeah, that was strange. He said he still didn't feel like a natural WR, and when they asked him what position was his natural one, he said returner or QB.

And now it sounds like baseball was always his favorite sport...

I've been a Stanback fan and backer, and he does have a lot of talent, but I have to admit I'm maybe not as big a fan after hearing this.

I'll be rooting for Manny Johnson.

Where's Holley fitting in?

Stanback is an idiot. If I were him, I wouldn't be doing anything to draw attention my way. I'd try to scoot by under the radar and pray that I made it through camp.

Wow, there are plenty of defensive Romo fans out there. He didn't say anything overly critical, but since he was in the locker room I trust he was telling the truth at the very least. If Romo cannot take crticism than he is lacking maturity, but having said this I hope he has an All-pro year and takes the 'Boys to the promised land....Stanback will probably find himself in the CFL.
