Anyone notice Crayton's false start on the Hurd TD?

Looks like he got away with a slight lean and stumble forward but hardly anything that ended up advantageous to him.

It was close but he may have gotten re-set...he made the little step just as the play clock went from 3 to 2 and the ball was snapped at 1 second...my understanding of the rule is you need to be set for 1 second.

It didn't look to me like he reset. I think we got away with one there.

THE BLOWN CALL THAT NO ONE NOTICED

The decisive play in the Sunday night game between the Cowboys and the Giants, a long touchdown pass to Sam Hurd on third down and seven that pushed the Dallas lead back to ten points, should have never happened.

An instant before the ball was snapped, Cowboys wideout Patrick Crayton stepped forward in his stance, and the play should have been blown dead, with an illegal procedure penalty called against Dallas.

The gaffe by Crayton was unnoticed by the officials or by the announcers.

We grabbed the TiVo remote and confirmed it. Crayton had come in motion from right to left, had stopped and assumed his pre-snap position, and then stepped forward right before the snap. He even remained in place, as if he assumed the whistle would blow.

It didn't.

With coach Tom Coughlin's job on the line, he's got every right to be pissed about that one.

You are right there. I wonder if he moved close enough to the snap that it was too close to call for the refs.

Yeah, he got away with one.

That's OK - the officials blew what should have been a fumble, but was rulled a 'pass' when spencer got to eli.

Bob Papa was doing his show on Sirus this morning and kept bringing that up.

He was saying...you know, that moves it to 3rd and long, and the Giants are going to be getting the ball back...and there's no doubt in my mind, Eli then drives them the length of the field for a game winning TD.

The Shannon Sharpe, who is the other host says....well, thats probably true, but if there's any time on the clock left, you KNOW Romo was going to put it back into the endzone for Dallas. He kinds just shut up after that. :D
