I get it. I do.
He's playing, so he needs to be critiqued.
Again, he starts slow, throws high or off target at times. He's not perfect.
That said, I just find it difficult to be too cynical when A.) he's a rookie and B.) he's led us to a 9-1 record, thus far.
And since ... drumroll ... every quarterback in the league is 100 percent unsuccessful at putting points on the board every possession. There's a reason even the elite guys complete under 70 percent of their passes. There are misfires, misreads and sometimes just bad plays. Happens to everyone.
I thought today's performance was a dagger in the argument that Dak was a game manager. The running game was nonexistent, backed up on 1st and 30, and Dak went to work. The very next possession, needing points before the half, he marched down the field at a time when the running game again could not be a factor.
It continued into the second half, when the excellence of the passing game eventually made way for Zeke to start eating away at that defense.
Just a marvelous performance.
