Anyone think Bledsoe's being too careful?

Watching Drew for the first time last night, it looks like he's doing an awful lot of thinking in the pocket and not acting instinctively.

I know BP has stressed "no mistakes," but the NFL operates in a risk/reward scenario. You've got to take some risks in order to reap the rewards.

I think he may need to take a few more chances deep during the game, especially to guys like Keyshawn and Glenn.

I don't think Bledsoe will put as many points on the board for us by just driving the bus.

I think it's more of a case of the coaches being too careful with Bledsoe. I don't see much killer instinct in this team. If we don't find it fast we will be lucky to be 8-8 and that is a realistic perception.

Bledsoe did great last night. Just check the numbers:
21 for 36, 261 yards, 1 td, no ints.

Untimely penalties by linemen costs us a few more completions.

I think that if we'd won last night, everybody would be sick, by now, of hearing about how well Bledsoe is playing. I think Bledsoe is playing about like I expected. He's not Manning but nobody expects that. Over the last two games, Bledsoe has played the best football of any QB we've had here in at least 6 years. Not even close in my mind.

Now, one could argue that it's still not on par with some of the really good QBs in the league and they would probably be right. On the other hand, it's been good enough to be 2-0. The fact that we are 1-1 is not indicative of the QB play IMO.

:hammer:

You could tell from the first pass of the game...and the second where they rolled him out.

Our offense played scared...and why? Because of what they heard...they heard an aweful lot about how they were going to blitz 70% of the time....it would be lucky to be over 10%.

And once he starts airing it ou he'll get killed for interceptions.

We've averaged 21 points a game so far - against 2 strong defenses. Thats already better than anything we've done past few seasons.......

We are going to light up San Fran!

I would love to see them let it fly next weekend. I don't like all the dinking and dunking... With our receivers we should rip it.

I'm sure Drew missed some open receivers, however Payton called a WAY to conservative game..........WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to conservative. Drew is doing fine...you can not always see the wide open reciever especially if he is not the #1 target for that play. We simply need more plays called to hit Keys, Witten, and Crayton in the 15-20 yard range. Last night I almost puked with the behind the line dump off passes, and calling plays that hit the WR in front of the first down marker. We did that with the Campo era....not again!!!

He hasn't turned hte ball over. Bledsoe looks like he did earlier in his career rather than his last couple years. We faced one of the toughest Ds we will face all year. Probably the toughest. And he played well.
