Good Lord I hope so. That's 3 solid guys. Smith, Fred, and Clabo. Then everybody else can fight for the guard spots. As much as they like Leary I'm hoping he can win one spot. I could live with Smith.. Costa.. T. Fred.. Leary.. Clabo. ...that's IF they can win the jobs. I think we gotta keep Parnell and Cook because of his versatility and maybe Livings but cut Bernie and obviously Free

I am starting to think Jones may not be interested in signing any one of the tackles.

I think he'll be off the market by then.

Jones needs to decide if he wants Free/Parnell rotating or Clabo. And he needs to decide soon while Clabo is still available.

I think Kones is leaning towards the Twin Turnstiles personally.

Considering Parnell had a lower pressure rate than Smith (4.2% v. 6.0%), referring to Parnell as a "turnstile" seems baseless.

ok dude I'm onto you, you're not telling the full story.

RT Doug Free

42 pressures (6.2 percent), 7 sacks (1.0 percent), 13 penalties

VS

RT Jermey Parnell

8 pressures (4.2 percent), 5 sacks (2.6 percent), 2 penalties

Parnell played far fewer games/snaps and nearly gave up the same amount of sacks, so he's not a good option for us just yet. He could be in time but our window is closing. We need Clabo yesterday...............:starspin

I like Parnell - for what he is: a backup who still needs to improve.

Unto then, he'll be a turnstile much like Free if relied upon to start.

Clabo is a better option certainly but Parnell for being a UDFA position convert play admirably.

Yes the sacks are high which leads me to believe that when he messed up he messed up bad but he was more successful that Free overall.

Free resorted to holds when he whiffed and Parnell didn't is the major difference that I saw. Parnell has upside and I don't know how much you can say that about Free.

We won't know until TC but the coaches will have a better gauge come OTA's.

I have a feeling we're gonna go with what we have, make cuts accordingly, let guys fight for starting jobs, and if we discover some guys just aren't getting the job done, we'll look at the waiver wire for low-priced veterans.
