For a discount I would consider taking Joey back. He still has alot of speed in his tank and could possibly tutor Austin. What do you think?

For the right price I'd take him back...he was totally misused in Dallas. He was simply run deep as a decoy over and over and over again by a coach who wanted to have slow, methodical ball control.

He was a great receiver before Dallas and did some great things in TB after Dallas. I think he'd be great in the offense we run now...but I'm thinking we stay with the young guys we have now...I don't see Jerry putting much money into the position.

On the cheap? Yea. Why not for a season or two. Not as a starter, but to be used in 3 and 4 receiver sets.

AH yes, we need another year where we abandon the running game...

WOW! You really believe that?

Galloway had a great 08-09 season before the injury. And Galloway has TRUE SPEED compared to Austin.

Why would we have to abandon the run just because we add more speed to our WR position?

If anything, TO was stretching the field. How much more does one spread the field when the defense is putting safety help over the top? I find this all amusing. So we get Joey Galloway, who is not even close to TO, to run down the field straight into double-coverage this year? Why are defenses going to change their philosophy against this Cowboys offense, when Garrett couldn't get the ball to RW or Crayton?

Crayton was made the number 3 receiver, where he was matched up against LBs and Garrett still couldn't get him the ball to move the chains. I don't care how slow is Crayton, the guy can beat the majority of LBs in a race.

Miles Austin is a stud, I dont see how everyone does not see what I see. This kid is on the verge of busting out.

Because Coach Tecmo would be too tempted to go straight bomb every play as he has shown in the past.

The poster was saying that he thinks Galloway would be great in the offense we run now. The last thing we need is to run the same ghetto-offense we were running last year with Garrett as coach. The fact is, TO WAS stretching the field. Our offense didn't need stretching the field. We don't need a speedy receiver. We need to balance this offense, which could have easily been done with a HoF receiver that was already stretching the field.

I couldn't agree more but I still wouldn't mine adding JG speed to the mix...

I don't know about galloway, if you ask me, this team needs a WR who runs crisp routes and can get seperation on intermediate routes.

The only thing I saw Austin busting out is a knee, ACL, etc....

Kidding aside, Austin shows us some spark. Then he let's us down with an injury. I know he can't help that, but that's why I can't trust him right now.

On top of that, Roy Williams hasn't showned he can stay healthy. We are screwed if both Roy and Austin goes down. We just let go the only WR that keeps himself in great shape year in and year out.

We need to add another WR FA and the Draft.

I wouldn't mind adding him though. A vet presence with speed that can push Austin and Hurd a bit instead of just giving them the chance to hit the field outright would be good IMO.

I've had enough of signing guys who have maybe a year or two left (ie: Zach Thomas) - he's slowing down anyways, as evidenced by his play last year.
