Jerry Jones Described as 'Furious' That Pacman Jones Can't Stay Out of Trouble

Publicly, the Dallas Cowboys have said nothing about the report that cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones got into a fight at a local hotel.
But according to ESPN's Ed Werder, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is privately "furious" that Pacman has gotten into trouble again.
"Jerry Jones is furious about this," Werder said today on ESPN Radio. "There were reports last week that he's been ordering Pacman Jones to conduct himself in a proper manner. Jerry Jones went through considerable expense to have a four-man security detail attached to Pacman Jones. They rotated in on a schedule. He was not allowed to drive to the facility or anywhere else by himself. He had a driver so that if there was even a traffic offense and they were pulled over it wouldn't be Pacman Jones himself who would be accountable to law enforcement authorities that could lead to a more serious situation."
Of course, you could ask why on earth Jerry ever brought in a player who would need that kind of round-the-clock babysitting.
"Jerry admitted that he was knowingly risking the integrity of his team with Adam Jones," Werder continued. "He said he had a face-to-face conversation with him before they made the trade in which he made sure that Adam Jones knew he had lost the benefit of the doubt."
If Pacman has lost the benefit of the doubt, doesn't that mean we have to assume that the report that Pacman attacked his bodyguard is true? And if it's true, doesn't that mean Pacman has to be suspended again? It's hard to see how this ends well.
