Jason Campbell: Just Like Patrick Ramsey (But Different)

Last week, the Washington Post's Jason La Canfora had a post on his Commanders' Insider blog looking at quarterback Jason Campbell's numbers after his first 15 starts. Specifically, comparing his output that of other NFL quarterbacks after 15 games. Here's the short list:
(Comp %, Yds, TD/Int)
Tony Romo (63.8%, 4,102, 30/16)
Alex Smith (55.2%, 2,295, 10/17)
Matt Leinart (56.3%, 3,001, 13/15)
Jason Campbell (55.9%, 2,817, 16/13)
And then there was the mystery quarterback:
Mysterio (53.4%, 2,846, 15/12)
So who was the unnamed guy? Good ol' Patrick Ramsey. Not exactly a ringing endorsement. So, yeah, Cambell's been inconsistent, but it's worth pointing out that he's had two offensive coordinator during his three years in Washington, and the latest -- Al Saunders -- brought that playbook with him from Kansas City. Also, the Commanders' offensive line has struggled (injuries, consistency ... whatever), and Santana Moss hasn't been completely healthy either. And then there's this. (Feel free to add your own excuses below).
On the upside, Football Outsiders thinks Campbell will be fine based on their college quarterback projection model. It might not happen this season, but it's one position Vinny Cerrato doesn't have to worry about screwing up for another 10 years or so.
