I'm sure some person is going to make a smarmy cliche comment such as "The most important game is the next one on the schedule." Let them.
But two very important games to watch are Cowboys @ Giants and Commanders @ Eagles.
Why?
Because, if the Cowboys win just one more division game, and the Eagles lose just one more division game, then the Cowboys will be guaranteed to hold tiebreaker advantage over the Eagles no matter what, even if Dallas loses to Philadelphia in Week 17.
Currently, the Cowboys are 3-0 in the NFC East. The Eagles are 2-2.
With another division win, the Cowboys would improve to 4-0 and could no longer possibly do any worse than 4-2 in the division. The Eagles, with another division loss, would fall to 2-3 and could no longer possibly finish any better than 3-3.
Thus, Dallas would be assured of tiebreaker advantage in any situation - even if the Cowboys lose to the Eagles in Week 17.
This is huge. This would mean that the Eagles would be forced to remain one game ahead of the Cowboys no matter what, in order to avoid being overtaken by the tiebreaker. With the Eagles already one game behind the Cowboys right now, that would be a tall task.
It also means that in this situation, the Cowboys could clinch the division title even before Week 17, if they are 8-7 and Philadelphia is 7-8 by that point. (Or, if they are 9-6 and the Eagles are 8-7, but you get my point.)
