Are the Cowboys best in the NFL in beating the blitz?

One thing I have noticed is that if you blitz the Cowboys not only will the offensive line pick it up but well get the completion.

This is a nice turn of events after the Campo and Gailey years of futility symbolized by the playoff lambasting the Cardinals gave us in 1999. I felt truly sorry for Aikman to have to contend with that.

We pick up run blitzes and pass blitzes at a pace I have never seen any team accomplish.

Now if they can teach the guys how to run block.

what worries me is when teams don't blitz and drop everyone into coverage like Wash did in the second half against us. They were somehow still able to stop our run and our playcalling was predictable enough they could guess right on the coverages.
The way to beat us this year is to drop everyone and force us to run....how ironic is that? considering the last 5 years or so?

Depends which Cowboys team shows up. If it's the one that played today, they were stout. If it's the one that played Oakland, I'm not so sure.

One damn game and we're the best at picking up the blitz? Good grief.

We've been much better at it than I expected, even in the games that teams have gotten pressure. Today's game and San Diego's game illustrated our ability to pick up the blitz, for sure.

What I like is that despite having a quarterback that teams know they must pressure, the pressure really hasn't been too intense this season.

No. But after the Oakland game and knowing Philly was coming to town I'll bet we worked on it all week. We have to keep Bledsoe upright and healthy.
