Are the Dallas Cowboys planning for life without Dez Bryant?
http://thelandryhat.com/2017/04/22/dallas-cowboys-planning-dez-bryant/

...The Cowboys were up against the cap limit once again this offseason so they restructured the contracts of linebacker Sean Lee, center Travis Frederick and left tackle Tyron Smith. Still, the space generated by re-doing these deals wasn’t nearly enough to fill the holes on defense, especially in the secondary.

And the $14 million in cap space relief that came as a result of releasing Romo will not be available until after the draft in June. But honestly, those monies were desperately needed back in March when the Cowboys were losing key players to free agency and there was no way to stop the bleeding.

With the needs piling up and money running low, why wasn’t Bryant’s contract restructured as well? I believe it’s because the Cowboys may be preparing for a future without Dez...
Yes, when Dallas was in negotiations with Dez the sticking point Dallas mentioned was the yrs. Stephen Jones even said they didnt want to get in a situation the Cardinals were in with Fitzgerald. As being stuck with a Wr in his 30s. As the Cardinals wanted to get rid of him but couldnt. Dez last yr with this team will be 2019

No. LOL. But I'm not going to waste hunting up anything for you, because you don't want to reasonably evaluate it so it is a waste of time.
Give me the game that proves your point and I'll watch it. I'm the one taking the time, not you.

I said I wouldn't go back and forth with about another man.

I'm clearly just calling you out on your troll game. You are trying way to hard. It's a clear cry for attention.

It was funny at first, but it's old now.
The dude adopts a different persona all the time.

He said Jaylon would never play again and that Zeke would only be successful if he cheered for him. He started his tenure here by saying Cowboys fans were drinking Tony's toilet water then was his biggest fan. He comes and goes but he's in troll overdrive this week.

I think Dez will be here long term. Could be wrong but I think he gets a third contract. He was a major reason the team came together last year. There's a lot of players on that team that respect and admire Bryant. If he's asking for the moon then he probably will be gone. If he wants to win, he'll sign a friendly contract like Williams.
.....if the 'Boys want to win......they'll take care of him reasonably. If Dez is on the out.....welcome 8-8 again and "the accident waiting to happen" mantra that spews from the naysayers.

Well after failing completely and utterly to plan for life without Romo, it sounds like a good plan to start thinking about what this team would be without Dez.

That doesn't mean they're going to cut or trade him.

Dez is under contract for 2017, 2018, and 2019..................then he becomes an UFA

Wrs in their 30s rarely get paid mega dollars, so the odds of us franchising him are slim and none. He is going to play out his contract and the team will then evaluate his value. Just like with Demarco, Mo, Carr, Wilcox, Church, and some others, there will be a limit to how much we are going to pay in free agency and if another team offers more than that limit, we will let Dez walk.

That is the Stephen Jones way of handling free agents.............that is very different from how his father did it, if its a better or worse way to run a franchise is open to interpretation. But the bottom line is that Stephen pays for performance and if you get offered more money than he thinks you are worth, then he lets you walk in free agency. Dez will be no different.

Yeah because you've been exposed as a troll.

Now run along
No because I'm putting you on ignore. Life is too short to be dealing with idiots like you that can't tolerate different opinions and can't hold up their end of a debate so they respond by spewing vitriolic pejoratives and personal attack. Calling folks a "troll" is your go to move and it's just so trite. BYE :muttley:

He also said that Hardy was guilty untill he became a Cowboy and then he said he was suddenly innocent.

Guy is a joke ...... and is never right.
