Which means it won't happen.

No draft needed... we can trade dead weight to Oakland to get him. He's ready to EXPLODE!! Fast, good hands and a kick/punt returner to boot! He can easily replace Stanback and Hurd on the roster and open up a spot!!

He has a chance to be special IMO.

Dont you have to give your QB time to throw the ball deep for that to work?
Our problem is teams are blitzing the crap out of us while jamming our receivers at the line. Then you have a QB running for him life.
The eagles give MnFlabb much more time.
By the time the receivers get 40 yards down the field Romo is either on his back or getting the ball smacked out of him hand from behind.

So when the time comes, we always pass on someone that could be the perfect compliment to our big #1 WR, whose mere presence could stretch the field and give immediate big play possibilities, along with KO & PR capabilities (not so much a problem now with Felix).
lol.found it on google.Chocolate Lab;2602017 said:LOL. Where did you get that sig pic, juckie?
What about that Mike Wallace from the Senior Bowl yesterday? He absolutely torched that guy on a fly route. I know nothing about his hands or quickness, though.

.
there's a difference. Barber, Jones and Choice are all possibly capable of being starters.HanD;2601826 said:we have a need at WR? easily the deepest position on the team not counting RB. and i'm glad we don't have that little punk biotch dj. can't stand him. his celebrating antics and trash talking a coach during a game...exactly what we don't need around here. pass.

Because we have bodies listed as WRs doesn't mean we necessarily have quality depth. Hurd just hasn't developed IMO (shows flashes but not enough to even warrent a #4 spot now). Stanback is a project-gone-nowhere. Austin...has shown potential but limited by injuries this year (worth keeping). Owens and RoyE are the only proven products at WR.
This team could use another 1 or 2 QUALITY WRs. They don't have to be superstars, just have to be able to contribute when called upon.
I have no clue. My cousins live up that way and are huge Raiders fans and they said they love him. "He electrifies the crowd and the players" is what he tells me everytime we talk football.SLATEmosphere;2602291 said:I actually think we could use Johnnie Lee or a player like him. We need that burner WR that just runs flys and lets Witten and Roy catch the underneath stuff. Hopefully when we get rid of TO, Jerry will get someone like this. He can also be a punt returner that we so desperatly need and return kickoffs too. Our return game would be from whacked to stacked with johnny!! If i see Crayton returning any more punts, I might have to kick myself in the nads.
Hey EPLOCO..whats a reasonable asking price to pry Johnnie Lee from Oakland? I'm from the Bay and watch some Raider games and he flyyyyyyss.

I think Oakland has seen him as a returner and juuust started to get a glimpse of him as a receiver toward the end of the year.
Last 4 games (@SD, NE, HOU, @TB):
14rec 196yds (14yd avg) 3TDs
Despite not having a big contract, I dunno if Oakland would be inclined to deal him b/c of the potential he has shown. He'd be pricey: Owens for Higgins straight up??

this madden hollywood type philosophy needs to stop. we don't need to be throwing the ball down the field. that's why romo gets hurt, our OL can't protect him in the first place. a power running game and a short passing game with occasional play action deep pass is exactly what we need. ala panthers/giants. this will
1. protect romo, limit him carrying the team on his shoulders and thus less pressure on him and less turnovers.
2. play to our strength which is a big OL mauling people. why have 340 lb OL if you want to pass all day down the field?
3. use our depth and talent at RB
4. grind and wear teams down by the end of the game.
5. get more guys in the box to stop the run.
6. let our WRs play to their strengths, let TO/WRRW catch crossing patterns/slants and get YAC.
7. keep defense fresh. too many times i watched our D play great only to tire our or finally give up the big play to the other team. run the ball, wear out the opposing D, and keep our guys fresh to make plays.
