Now that the draft has come and gone and we hopefully added some contributors to our team, do you think we'll look to shore up a certain position or two maybe we didn't hit during the draft?

I realize a lot depends on who's released in the coming months and who becomes available as well as who's already out there.
DE?
WR?
FB?
LB?
QB?
What do you think?

Maybe if a mod can be so kind as to edit the thread title to we and not WR I'd be very appreciative! Stupid iPhone

Despite what the FO says, I think we'll be looking at QB2 options if anyone of note gets waived.

I don't see any DE options out there different from what we have, but there are always surprise cuts.

The rest we are set with our starters and we have some competition for bottom of roster guys at WR & CB.

Name that keeps coming back to me is Justin Durant. Rod likes him, he knows the system. If someone goes down to injury or the youngsters (Wilson/Nzcocha/Hitchins) don't progress, I can see them looking at him.

Like him, but the guy can't stay on the field.

I'm so glad the Cowboys were smart enough to stay out of the Durant and Bruce Carter sweepstakes. Just like Jason Hatcher.

Never really done. There will be more transactions once camp gets going and bodies start to drop.

Is he without a team now?

They are low on money?? so they can only pick up cheap guys, but they should grab some later on when other
teams cut down to roster size.

I'm looking for us to add

a) DE, preferably a Dwight Freener type--older vet capable situational pass rusher

b) QB, preferably one with some of the same kind of pedigree that Johnson, Kitna and Orton brought to the table... so, someone who ends up being an odd-man out of the current depth chart dramas occurring in cities like New York, San Fran, and Cleveland

I know some are thinking S, but I'm one of those not persuaded that the need there is so palpable that they're going to make a move on that front.

I'm sure the FO will be scoping these cuts @ back up QB and S/CB positions. TEs too w/Escobar's injury.

John Phillips is out there... in fact, beyond him, it's interesting just how many former Cowboys are still sitting out there waiting for a call.
