Are we headed anywhere?

We were lucky to be 13-3 with as many holes as we have. We are a very good team but IMO we are not at the same level as a NE or INDY just yet (not many teams are). We can get there but there are definite areas that need to be addressed.

One of them is Roy Williams - Jerry has to come to terms with himself on that or we are screwed.

Good post Sarge.

We were lucky to 13-3, no doubt.

We started out great and then some teams exposed our weaknesses and others attacked those weaknesses. We have to shore up those weaknesses and cutting Williams should be the first move. He was an absolute liability.

We need a speed running back, a speed wide receiver, a smart ball hawking safety, and another Newman type corner.

Let Barber go??? He is one of 2-3 players that actually showed up yesterday. He also brings intagibles to the game other than just running the ball. He gets others around him fired up. That is missing in this team. It needs more players like Barber not less. No way do I get rid of Barber. What game were you watching yesterday anyways?
I love Barber as much as the next guy, but he'll never be a feature back and its for one simple reason: he has no break away speed. There's nobody better on 3rd down and 2 and making something out of nothing, but he just doesnt have any acceleration at that next level. I hope we keep him, but if he starts demanding major back money which I would expect him to, Im not so sure.

I think our first major concern needs to be speed on defense which outside of Newman, we dont have much of. I think Henry would be a good fit at the safety position and we could rotate him around for games against big receivers. Its no secret Roy has to go, but that's what happens when you invest in a long term deal with a guy who becomes a bum the year after. Reeves is and will forever be a nobody. If he hasnt learned by now, he'll never learn. He covers like a coward and leaves entirely too much cushion, he's just not good. Outside of D-Ware, I think its time we start thinking about getting a faster Linebacker core for coverage. The game is evolving and we have to evolve with it.

Romo will just have to learn with maturity and someone has to put in check the players and coaches and that's why I wouldnt care if Wade was replaced. From Garrett's play calling to the mentality of this team who often thinks they're better than they are, there's no gut check and there needs to be.
