Are we tanking intentionally

To aquire more talent if we get early draft picks. This might be the process.

Stephen Jones doesnt have to pay mega contracts this way. Win win for all.

Garrett can continue to coach up the draftees.
Jerry doesn't have time to tank seasons. That's also why he doesn't want to change coaches because that would put things back a few years, or at least in most cases it does. Garrett may also be his last coaching hire and Stephen may get the next shot.

That thought crossed my mind, but if you look at jerry after a loss or during the game, it is not the look of someone
who knows the team is tanking.

The team isn't tanking, but the FO may be stealth tanking by not addressing the obvious needs at WR and safety properly.

Tank this year and then fill safety with Earl when he becomes a FA next year for free instead of trading a pick for him. Get a WR next year in the draft and let Gallup develop into a serviceable #2. This team is young everywhere so it can make a leap next year with a couple of spots filled up and not losing too much to FA for the new coach.

If they are going to put there faith in ET at safety, he can't seem to stay healthy with the leg situation.

Are you saying you think they may have been tanking from the first game of the season?

Sadly, no. This is what we are.

Absolutely no way this team tanks. Here’s why:

1. NFL players have waaaay less job security than the NBA and MLB where you do see teams tank on purpose to get draft priority.
2. If you are a young NFL player on the 3rd or 4th year of your first contract, you absolutely MUST play well in order to get that payday usually found on the second contract. To be shown tanking on film would be career suicide.

Tanking in the NFL almost never happens. When teams lose, 99% of the time, it’s because they are either not talented enough or don’t have very good coaching. Or both.
Tanking isn't on the players, it's on the coaches. I don't believe we're smart enough to tank.

For several years to get where they are now.
oh rest assured it took a lot of years to get this bad.

the team is just lost right now and doesn't seem to know who they are. you can blame a player for not stepping up but the coach has to be the guiding light so to speak and all we have is someone who's hellbent on wearing the batteries out of "the clapper" and overusing phrases that he found on the corporate walls paintings.

the only person that Garrett has motivated or "coached up" is his bank teller to HURRY UP and cash that $6 million check before the world discovered he was an inept FRAUD.

Win win for all.

More like lose, lose and lose 8 additional times and maybe win in the future...which is a dumb approach. No team tanks when it is possible to win. Dallas is only .5 games out of 1st place in division. Regardless how they performed, a team is not going to pull the plug under those circumstances.

No. Players wouldn't do that. Future contracts rely on how they perform
