Prove it to me this Sunday night where we go into Philly and win a game that we must win. Smash mouth football on both sides of the line of scrimmage. I am tired of this team stringing us along and when the moment of truth comes where they must win they disappoint us year in and year out. No more excuses Cowboys, here is your chance to redeem yourselves and bury that Thanksgiving game where we were humiliated.

I think this is an evolving team. I don't know what will happen Sunday night, but I strongly feel they'll be better next year than this year. Right now, defense is holding this team back.

Hate to say it, but yes, we're the same old Cowboys that just miss the playoffs. Unless we pull a miracle and win out, but that is not likely from a realistic standpoint.

the "same old cowboys" would not have put a beat down on Chicago

but, to be a true playoff contender, we need to beat philly

Yup, and that's all I think we can ask for. A relatively healthy team that controls its own destiny with ten days to prepare for a game to take the division lead. Either we'll see the very best team the Cowboys have to offer (think Seattle) or we will lose. Either way, we'll know where we stand once and for all.

"Same Old Cowboys" always makes me lol. I don't know how you can have different coaches and players and be the "same old" team.

Things change in the NFL.

We'll find out when this season is over if this is the same old Cowboys. The past 3 seasons they've been in control of their own destiny late in the season only to blow the opportunity and miss the playoffs. They were in control of their own destiny heading into the Philly game on Thanksgiving and blew it and now they're back in control again thanks to Seattle's win over Philly yesterday. If the Cowboys beat Philly on Sunday Night and lose to Indy the following week Philly will be back in control if they beat the deadskins. The Cowboys may have to win out to make the playoffs so they'll still have some work left if they can somehow find a way to beat Philly.

that's kinda what I was thinking. I guess they're after the "same old results" which 31 teams go through each year. I swear over 50% of the cowboys fans could never handle having Cleveland as a favorite team. :)

This team is different. Our approach on offense has been a huge factor for both sides of the ball. Despite some hiccups we still haven't changed our offensive attack. It won't surprise me to see this team win out and make some serious noise in the playoffs.

This. We have a middle of the pack defense that if we make the playoffs most likely will get exposed by top offenses. It concerns me that the D has given up 89 points in the last 3 games. Lucky for us that 2 of the 3 also have worse defenses than us.

We can run the ball with success now. So this offense is indeed different from ones of the past few years.

The mindset is different even though the results may turn out to be the same, which is the Cowboys not making the playoffs. I think they have greatly exceeded expectations, but there is only so much they do with this defense.

I personally think they lose to Philly and Colts and beat Skins to finish 10-6 with no playoffs.

You know, I really don't think we have even a middle of the pack defense. The offense has kept them off the field somewhat, thus keeping them from getting exposed for the pretty bad defense that I think they are. The glimmer of hope that I have is how I saw them play against Seattle and, for three qtrs against Chicago. They swarmed to the ball and didn't let the playmakers get loose in those games. They must repeat that type of play to have a chance. We've seen them do it before, so we know they can...the question is, will they?
