Your eyes should tell you he isn't as dominant as advertised. Be concerned

He played fine today. Romo needs to throw the ball and find the open receiver instead of holding onto the ball too long because he can't find receivers anymore. I'm willing to bet that the All-22 film will show Dez getting open and Romo missing him.

The 1 sack near the goal line looked like it may have been a package play. Either that or Tyron didn't get the play correct because he was clearly run blocking on a pass play. I can blame that on Tyron because if it was a package play, he did a poor job of run blocking.

But it still a horrendous play call. And some of that at least falls on Romo for not audibling out of that stupid play.

Between Garrett, Romo and Linehan...not a one of them understands fundamentally sound play calling.

Romo really hung this OL out to dry today. There were numerous occasions when he simply needed to step up or side step the pressure, but he pulled the ball down and panicked. They showed a few replays from the camera over-head, and no one was within 5 yards of Romo when he would panic and scramble.

Im not worried about anyone on the OL. When Romo wasn't crapping the bed, they held up very well. Pocket presence doesn't mean tucking the ball and trying to run. It means making slight adjustments to avoid the pressure.

As many times as he has flopped, this is the first loss I will put squarely on Romo.

cant say i disagree with anything here, romo held the ball too long on a lot of plays and still missed wide open guys.

His feet got tangled on the one sack. Not a big deal.

Only one holding call last year. 2 already this year.

He's great, no superb. He does struggle against speed rushers as I've mentioned twice before.

Tyron Smith, man, I don't expect to see false starts. I don't expect to see holding calls on him. He's now being paid to be elite. I don't expect to see penalties from him. These modern era LTs that you see going into the HOF rarely have calls against them. I know Tyron is young but we need him to be better. He needs to set the standard for the rest of the line. It's the difference in between being an elite player and a very good player.

There are three other players that I would worry about first on that line and Fred isn't one of them.

Tyron is a very solid player but I don't think he's a great as some try and make him out to be. I haven't closely examined his new contract extension and compared it to J.J. Watt's recent extension but Watt was clearly worth what the Texans paid him and I'm not so sure Tyron was worth what Jerry paid him. The Cowboys could have drafted Watt 2 picks after Tyron. I would take Watt over Tyron without even having to think about it. I've been saying for 3 years I would take Watt over Tyron.

I have many concerns about this team, but Tyron is way way down on the list.

Hindsight KJJ, no one was questioning us picking Smith over Watt in 2011. Looking back, I wish we had Watt too but at the time, Smith was the right decision. Glad we have him but not at the thought of missing out on J.J. but not many saw what was coming in his future.

No because Romo had tons of time to throw the ball, he had a couple of mistakes but this line gets an A+ from me.

For the most part, Romo had a ton of time to throw today.

Not even I questioned picking Tyron ahead of Watt on draft day 2011 it was after their rookie seasons that I said I would take Watt over Tyron. Most on the board didn't agree with me even after the great rookie year Watt had and there's FANS even today that wouldn't take Watt over Tyron. I don't see the love some have for Tyron that makes them think he's a "great" player. He gets beat far too much for my liking and he commits too many penalties. He's nowhere near the player on the Cowboys OL that Erik Williams and Larry Allen were but some act like he's just as dominant.

Jerry signed Tyron to an 8-10 year contract which I thought was pretty ridiculous but that's my opinion. Let me be clear I think Tyron is a good solid player but I just don't see the greatness at this point that others see. Maybe in a couple more seasons he'll develop into a dominant player at his position but right now he's not even close.

Compared to Carr/Claiborne/Romo etc, not really worried about Smith.

TBH, I'm really not worried now. By week 5/6, and he still is struggling, then I'll start to worry. It's too early in the season to be worrying except over an injury.
