I don't see how people are seeing this as a bad matchup. We're scoring almost 30 ppg for the year and 40+ the last four games. And giving up 22 ppg. They are allowing 17.6 ppg for the year but only scoring 20 ppg. I do think their D is very good but I don't see them hanging with us offensively. But we'll see. If we turn the ball over more than once, mess up our Sc% by making too many mistakes and penalties, or give up too many big plays then we have a decent chance of losing. We haven't been doing that so I'm hoping for the best.

Kinda the same, only without the echo.

Yodeling is a very different vocal demonstration usually requiring the act of drinking Bavarian beer in copeous quantities.

While whistling only requires shots of tequila followed by copious quanties of Bavarian beer.

There is a difference.

If we maintain the formula of December of getting turnovers and not turning the ball over we will win the Super Bowl.

There are three scenarios in which we lose and there are teams that are capable of each. Detroit and Seattle (Seattle more so) may be able to stop the run with 7, put us in 3rd and long and be able to get off the field. Fortunately neither have an offense that should blow us out, even without turnovers.

Green Bay, New England, and Denver may be able to put up 40 against us and simply out score us.

The turnover differential should be the key stat in telling if we win because it is so fundamental to our formula for success. If we get some pass rush the turnovers will continue to happen.

In my opinion that goes back to Jerry's flawed view of not wanting a "walk-around coach." He wanted the head coach calling plays and took some not-so-veiled shots at the likes of Parcells and Jimmy for not being play-callers. There are tons of good head coaches in this league who don't call plays, and there are also some that do call plays. Clearly, Garrett is better as the former.

Hmmm, good point. Thank you.

We have Rushmen?

Title only, but hey, they have gotten the job done at times. This defense has been playing well above its means and better than expected. Yea we arent great at every position, but as a team i think i bottom line has risen and i think we have learned about some players that we didnt really understand until this season.

And a lot of players really stepped up, A few have proven me right, a few wrong. but for the whole season, the defense did better than expected.

Detroit has the better all around team but the way Stafford had been playing I'm not exactly pissing my self in fear. If he has a good game we probably lose if he has one of his normal games you can start planning your GB thread

I'm not worried and I don't think the team and coaching staff is either. Our boys are ballin right now. They're playing with swagger and believe that they can beat anyone, anywhere. The offense imposes it's will and the defense makes more plays than they give up.

Barring another 300 yard receiving performance from Megatron, we should be one step closer to number 6.

Detroit has repeatedly been a bad matchup for us..

and the defense has been embarrassing at best against Stafford.

I think we have to be very leary of this game..

we can't talk SB until we erase the failures of the past against Detroit..

what say you guys.

Can we really make a 4 game winning streak hold up?

We do have a hard time against the Lions. I can remember as far back as Kitna torching us when he was their qb. Not an easy game for us against this ranked defense and Stafford let alone Megatron A low scoring game would benefit the Lions I would think..

Ahuh.

Kitna always had our number.

I think that's how he found his job with us.

The Cowboys thought he was better on our sideline..

than somewhere else beating us down.
