The winner of the NFC east was always going to get the 3 seed LOL. So the winner of the NFC East maybe playing the Saints now instead of the Niners

And you do realize if you are the 3 seed, you avoid Seattle in the divisional round, right?

So yes, it's a huge deal.

Hey now, if the Eagles lose to the Bears, and beat the Cowboys next week, Dallas wins the division based on the best division record, right?

No, we lost that opportunity when we lost to the Packers last week. If we had held on we would be 9-6 right now while the eagles would be 8-7 if they lost to the Bears which would have meant that we would have clinched the division tonight because the cowboys hold all tiebreakers if they ended with the same record at 9-7.

So they can't be the case tonight because we will both head into next week with a 8-7 record if the Bears win tonight.

I'll still watch it. Granted, if they lose, it still means we have to beat them next week but something ( such as key injuries ) could happen tonight, that may possibly increase our chances of winning next week.

It can have indirect meaning for us. If Lions lose to Giants and Packers lose to Steelers, we should be rooting for Chicago since a win would give them the division. That means next week's game Cowboys game would definitely get flexed. However, there are a few scenarios where next week's Bears/Packers game could be for the division. And if Rodgers comes back next week, there's a chance millions of Cowboys fans don't get to see next week's game.

Our only focus should be on beating the eagles next week.

lol, they just reversed a Pats fumble call (correctly, Amendola's arm was down before the ball came out) and the entire stadium in Baltimore is yelling "BULL (expletive)" repeatedly so loudly you can hear it clearly over the TV announcers

I want to hear that in Jerryworld!

You already know that game will be seen by the nation, why wouldn't it be flexed?

If you read my thread about "will it flex", there's a chance that next week's Bears vs Packers game will be for the NFC North and that it will be Rodgers first game back in 7 weeks. I think we're underestimating how popular the Bears and Packers (and Rodgers) are. I don't think it's a guarantee that the Cowboys game will get flexed.

They'll probably have to decide before it's known whether Rodgers plays or not.
